I would if I was Wade. Alleva's gone in June, James Williams wont be BoS Chair much longer, and Alexander will be so neutered, he will be meaningless, and gone with a new Governor.

If he’s vindicated by the NCAA after the trial he’s shown he’s a great coach and could probably name his job. The administration is burning their bridge with him pretty good with this debacle.

I can’t speak for CWW.

But personally, I wouldn’t want to work for somebody I couldn’t trust to have my back.

Bruce Pearl says hi and still coaching. Being that the AD and president have confirmed their ongoing ineptitude if one's lawyer states "X" as the best legal tactic, then I would follow "X". You can't be insubordinate to proven arse clowns, that's not what this is.

Why wouldn’t he? If he survives this he’ll never touch the ground in Baton Rouge again

I'm like Wade in probably not understanding what the hullabaloo is about, since Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum knew about the subpoena in October, and still let Javonte play. I still haven't heard the LSU PR Machine and their lackeys at The Advocate and 104.5 FM explain that one away. Kind of screws their institutional control bs excuse in the arse.

Great! So what's your reactionary hard-line dick swinging gotten you? A furious customer base. Significant donors who are unhappy. The creation of an untrustworthy athletic department unattractive to all but the most desperate of coaches (Tubby Smith might finally get the call from LSU!) A de facto death penalty of your basketball program in HOPES that the NCAA may not eventually piss on the ashes. The return to a 1/3rd full 13,000 seat arena.

ALL because the administration could not wait a month and a half to let the dust settle and remove Wade's reasonable basis (i.e. his participation at trial) for refusing to talk. No, LSU chose to proactively kick themselves in the dick before the NCAA potentially got the chance to.

If after April 22nd Wade still refused to discuss the issue, then fine. You suspend (and perhaps fire) him. But at least at that point you give yourself a chance to mitigated total meltdown of the program. But no good coach is going to come work for an administration who essentially calls the "police" on itself before even having internal conversations with the coach. And no coach worth a shite is going to want to come to a place where even a hint of impropriety sets off the self destruct sequence. Here's why. NO POWER CONF. BASKETBALL PROGRAMS ARE CLEAN. If you recruit AAU players, you deal with "middle men", "runners", agents, uncles, organizers and families with their hands out because they KNOW the kid has a market value...even if it may be a gray market value. That's why AAU exist. So if you're essentially telling coaches they can't play in the AAU field, then you're telling them you don't want them to be successful. With that message I can't imagine why great coaches wouldn't lining up around the block to work for LSU.

Coaches have the leverage in college sports. Wade will go on to another school and have success. Just like John Calipari...and Kelvin Sampson....and Bruce Pearl....and Eddie Sutton, etc

Fans love him
Players love him

He sees the basketball program as his, and feels ownership of it.

I could See him feeling like he wants what’s his back.

We don’t even deserve to have Wade at this point. It’s wrong what we’ve done to him. We did him dirty constantly, and I hope he gives LSU the middle finger if they won’t take him back.

Who the frick is this "We"? LSU and the LSU administration are not the same thing. We, the fans, the players, and the students deserve Wade. They way we've all rallied around him has been unprecedented. FKA, JA, and JW are not LSU.

At this point he doesn't deserve to coach at LSU. Coach Wade decided not to go talk to his boss, I'm not sure he deserves to be reinstated. I don't care for the admin but the admin are right this time.

So much more important than completely rebuilding the basketball teams and being good at his job.
