When does Rooney or Kendall ever say anything negative about a coach. . . just sayin. These guys are basically a PR firm for college baseball coaches.
Probably my only complaint with them

KR is now an LSU guy in a way so I won’t speak poorly of him. He does good work since he’s worked through his LSU hatred and seen the light
Rooney is incredibly biased toward the west coast schools. Every time he’s on television, he feels the need to segregate college baseball by saying things like “the west coast can really make some noise in the tournament” or “that’s west coast baseball”
We get it Mike, you’re from the west coast. Go enjoy some guacamole and learn to appreciate baseball in the rest of America
ETA : Mike Rooney from Pennsylvania. Will fix spreadsheet

Would you tell your boss you’re interviewing for other jobs??
If I knew my boss wanted the best for me and my family and it was move up, yes I would tell my boss and have done so in the past. shite, I even had one of my bosses write a letter of recommendation for me

Sounds like they just wanted an excuse.
New HC will probably want his own guy anyway.

I’ve always thought it was common courtesy to let your current employer know if you are interviewing somewhere else or someone has approached you with an offer.

The most important decision a manager makes is who to hire.

It's Arizona State athletic department, they are a complete shite show.
Their AD, Ray Anderson, was a formerly a sports agent who then hired his client Herm Edwards, 67 years old and hadn't coached in college since the 80s. Now the program in under NCAA investigation, after a former staffer sent a binder of reported violations to the NCAA.
The baseball and basketball programs are in worse shape than the football program. Hurley hasn't won a NCAA tourney game in his 6 years, he has had losing records in half his seasons.

Well that seems petty as hell
I guess they are still smarting from losing their coach and maybe half of their players.

Jay Johnson was at Arizona, not Arizona State. The pitching coach from Arizona state was fired for interviewing here.

Arizona State AD is pissed because Kevin Mawae turned the football program into the NCAA.

“Kevin Mawae, an ex-teammate of mine, didn’t get the offensive line coaching job. Then goes to the Indianapolis Colts, he gets fired. Herm doesn’t hire him, and he played for Herm. So, he becomes this whistleblower type that is kind of like, saying, ‘You know, oh, well, they’re doing this, they’re doing that.’ It’s not improper benefits. The thing that they may have violated is the rules of the NCAA bringing guys or communicating with players and families during COVID. So, it’s a little bit different than what the stories have been probably trying to make it sound like.”

Jesus, that is a really toxic move by ASU. Not exactly sending a message to other coaches that ASU is a good place to work.
