Saban wasn’t 10-10 during any 20 game conference stretch at any point in his career. Miles either. Stop the presses

I think is 10-10 overall not in conference, his last year at FSU as a disaster but he was 10-3, 10-3 the 2 years before that, if we can cherry pick a stretch of 10-10, that’s just a statistical quirk.

Saban did start 6-5-1, 6-6, 7-5 at MSU, of course that was rebuilding a program coming off probation, the point wasn’t to compare to Saban, no one does, just that everyone, including Saban need talent to win. If Fisher is still going 8-4 in year 4 and doesn’t have a decent QB, then I’ll talk about him being a bust or a fraud

Next year aside from Bama of course they play @Clemson, UGA and LSU. Not all 8-4 seasons are the same

Negative.

Finished 2015 2-2 in conference
2016 was 5-3
2017 was 3-5

add em up

Losses to un-ranked ACC teams:

2015: Georgia Tech
2016: North Carolina
2017: NC State, Louisville, Boston College

ETA: Saban and Miles never gave up 63 to anyone, either.

true, but let’s not act like the 50+ Saban gave up at least once a year while at Mich St was a beacon of greatness either.

newsflash: even the greatest coaches of all time have bad games and bad seasons. it happens.

JMHO

This year for A&M and Jimbo is acceptable for first year coaches. Jimbo's lucrative contract makes many football fans expect much more even in the first year.

Should A&M lose to LSU, a 7-5 season would be pushing the limits of expectations because of the coaching investment.
If A&M powers-to-be, the fans, and players are happy, the rest of us should wish them well.

The future performance will be the ultimate judge of the investment and reward of the Jimbo era at A&M.

can be said about every coaching change
not true. Changing the culture means getting all remnants of the old regime out and implementing a winning attitude. LSU for instance hired in house and kept les miles TE coach to be the OC. The offense continues to suck as it did under miles.

Three conference titles and 39 wins in three years is pretty damn dominant.

He lost one league game in that stretch. Dabo hasn't been able to match that.

He left the program in shitty shape. In a fairly weak conference.

Somehow got 75 million out of it

I don't think Fisher is a bad coach but he's not in any way going to dominate the SEC at A&M without another Manuel or Winston.

Signed, ranter who probably shits on coach O five times a week over the fact that LSU shouldn’t be in a “rebuild” (which he shouldn’t, and neither should Fisher).

Sumlin averaged 8.5 wins over 6 years and he averaged 12th in recruiting rankings with 3 top 10 classes over that same span and never finished outside of the top 20. A&M certainly isn’t lacking talent or a moderate level of recent success. Jimbo is flat out underachieving and giving A&M more of what they got under Sumlin. He’s a mediocre football coach who hasn’t ever done shite without Jameis Winston and it’s so funny that he has this cult following on TD simply because he turned us down. Get over the jilted girlfriend syndrome bud

I wouldn't go that far but they have folded late in several of their games. Outside of the Alabama game they could easily becunderfeated, or only have 4 wins.

They've been competitive in almost every game but seem so blow it late

They definitely have the talent to compete with LSU this year. They have the talent to beat anyone but Bama

But you see, they're judging his previous coaching experience. They're not taking into account that he could learn from his mistakes...
