How can Arkansas, clearly the worst team in the SEC for several years now, beat MSU with a first year head coach and an entirely new coaching staff? Entering into Saturday's game, it should also be noted the Razorbacks had not won a conference game in two years and sports a roster filled with nothing but two and three stars!

The answer is easy: Use the same formula that PAC-12 teams have been using for years to beat Leach - 3 down lineman, drop 8 in coverage! What did Arkansas do? Exactly that and won the game.

If Pelini doesn't learn to adjust his defense to the offense they are facing, there will be many more MSU nights for LSU fans. You can't use the excuse that we have a young defense, because so did Arkansas and they made it work for them. Against a running team, the 4-3 will be more successful, but most SEC teams are all about spreading it out which spells disaster for Pelini's defense.

Please don't use Vandy to defend Pelini because they can't pass or run the football! The reality is we travel to Gainesville in two weeks and if Pelini doesn't change his defensive scheme, Florida is going to embarrass LSU much worse than MSU.

I really hate when coaches become hard headed and refuse to make adjustments.

Bro. it has been discussed repeatedly.

1) Sting out with ZERO time to practice guys switching roles.
2) Ward had almost no practice time because surgery.
3) Evans only at LSU 2 weeks.
4) Ricks a true freshman
5) Air raid requires constant nickel/dime.
6) Zone takes a lot longer to learn than man.

If we played zone, it would have been worse, not better. If Sting wasn't out, we win that game. Quit being a whiny bitch with your Chicken Little crap.

The Miss State loss was a wake up call.

They’re already focusing on getting better this has more to do with fans ego.

Yeah, mike leach’s offense was really a mystery up until we gave everyone film on him

Because that’s the story of Mike Leach’s career. He looks like he’s coaching the patriots one weekend and the bad news bears the next. Trying to figure Leach or his team out is not a battle you’re going to win, and using his team as a way to figure out whether we’re good or not is pointless

The fact that LSU actually gave film on Leach, really helps. I’m going to chalk that miss state game up as fluke for the defense giving everything that was going on

Stop trying to transitive property everything and focus on LSU. Looked like the 2nd best team in the west yesterday and there’s still a lot of football left. Have some faith.

Except for one thing. Pelini had weeks to prepare for state and teach his guys zone

There is years of game film on leach. His offense is no surprise.

Didn’t have weeks to prepare Ricks (freshman), Evans (transfer), Ward (surgery).

Miss st kicked our arse but y’all need to get over it and move on. The team we are is the team that played last night. That team looked pretty good. Not great, but sound. Get better every week and let’s see where the chips fall.

Someone name 1 thing different about Leach's offense from the past 10 years. You can't do it. It's the same damn offense.

Dude. That doesn’t mean the guys on the field can learn it in 2 weeks or less. Secondaries need chemistry and that takes a little time. None of those guys have played together before last week.

Bo had fantastic defenses here 05-07. Have a little patience.

If only all future games played out based upon how teams performed in the opening game.

I agree. There is years of film on Leach so to use that excuse is very weak! We were outcoached! Period!

You made my point for me. This is not 2005-2007 anymore, so Pelini needs to adjust his defenses to the current offenses! What worked in 05-07 doesn't work anymore!

There is 20+ years of film showing Leach's offense. He's been running the same plays since KY in 1998
