I'd imagine Jay would prefer that our hitters not fricking suck all SEC season and to be able to let them swing away. But, they have. They swing at shitty pitches, hit a ton of popups, and most of them are in a slump right now.
You guys would be equally as pissed if 2 of them struck out and then Milam grounded out. Get over it.

If it was a squeeze he should of scored easy i don't care about the slide
It’s a safety squeeze.
And i said earlier that i couldn't see the runner if he broke or not when pitcher released the ball so didn't know if it was a safety of Frey got bad jump.
I mean Braswell is best bunter on team you have to squeeze there fuk the safety squeeze

Besides it being stupid to bunt twice to try to score one run in the 2nd inning, this guy is throwing big curveballs early in the count to everyone, and it isn’t easy to lay down good bunts when someone’s throwing curves like that especially when they are landing low in the zone.
Tell your guys to sit on the curve and drive it to right field.

Why is Arkansas ranked 7? Record and schedule seems to justify them higher
They are maybe the best team in the country. The rankings do matter. Look at Vegas odds to win the CWS. Arkansas is at the top, followed by LSU and Tennessee. Those are your elite teams.

Since we blame double play depth as a “shift” when it goes against us, do we praise it there?
No it just so happened to work out there.

It’s been proven over and over again with millions of data points
Bunting only ever makes sense when your sole objective is to score 1 single run and a runner is on third with less than 2 outs
That’s it. Period
Bunting limits your overall run potential. Not opinions.

They are ranked higher in all the other polls. Idk why ESPN uses d1 baseball. They probably paid for it with our streaming money

Runner on third with one out scores on a fly out to most of the outfield, ground ball to the right area of the infield, wild pitch, passed ball, any base hit. Runner on third forces the defense to make a decision to bring the infield in to stop the run, or stay at normal depth and concede the run. It also limits the freedom of the pitcher to bury a breaking ball with the threat of conceding a run, vs. simply conceding a base.
I think most understand a runner on 3rd is valuable, the question is whether sacrificing a sure out to get him there is worth it. Pearson can pull a ground ball and get him there just as easily. Could also get a hit.

This is getting tiresome. Game is fixing to break open but not in a good way. Yikes
