The account is followed by TJ, Max, Myles, and Garrett so that counts for something. Also It seems like Arik has constantly made new accounts across his social media platforms the past year

I thinks it’s definitely him. A ton of pics from private training places in Marietta that he’s tagged in

Last year just wasn't it.
Just wait until Arik gets the feel of a Full, Packed out, Raucous Tiger Stadium

I’m going to be so happy for those players running out of Tiger stadium with a full crowd. They deserve it after that crap from last year

Yeah, the atmosphere and uncertainty of everything last year just had to kill the vibe for the players. This year, they get what they signed up for.

He's not even on the same planet as Pitts. He has miles & miles to go before being in that class.

Well, he's got one hell of a head start.

quote:

Pitts originally attended Abington Senior High School in Abington, Pennsylvania before transferring to Archbishop Wood Catholic High School in Warminster, Pennsylvania in 2016. He played tight end and defensive end on the football team. Pitts played in the 2018 Under Armour All-America Game. He committed to the University of Florida to play college football.

@Florida as a freshman 3 catches for 73 yards and 1 TD

quote:

Gilbert attended Marietta High School in Marietta, Georgia.[1] As a senior, he was the Gatorade Football Player of the Year after he caught 101 passes for 1,760 yards and 14 touchdowns. For his career he had 243 receptions for 3,540 yards and 35 touchdowns. A five-star recruit, Gilbert was ranked among the top players in his class and committed to Louisiana State University (LSU) to play college football.

@LSU as a freshman 35 catches 368 yards and 2 TDs

Teammates aren’t really the deciding factor. Eligibility, on multiple fronts, is the hurdle he faces.

LSU has to use him like fla used pitts. It was shameful the way LSU kept running him on 2 yd patterns on 3rd and 4.
Move him to WR as soon as he becomes eligible to play!

Keep Bech at WR too.

What SEC secondary is gonna cover all those targets?

Peetz and Mangas should be able to make it work. (Ensminger and Linehan couldn't)

I'm not sure that the players care about this as much as the fans do. They probably knew more of what he was dealing with on a personal level, and in this day and age, they are all used to making "business decisions" for themselves, and keeping themselves happy.

Saban, Day, Riley would have all welcomed this dude back bc of his ridiculous talent.
Dabo I could see being more rah rah team and cohesion.

Well “could”? I guess, but it is highly unlikely. Florida has some freshmen WRs who “could” be better than Chase when it’s all said and done.

Gilbert has a lot of physical talent, but so far, he has not shown the self-discipline, nor the competitive spirit, to be as good as Pitts. I’m not sure of this, but I bet Pitts showed it as a freshman.

lol, you're insane. In his first 3 games as a true freshman, he had as good of stats as Pitts had in his first 5 games as a sophomore. Had Brennan stayed healthy all year, he would have broken every SEC freshman TE record, and every single season LSU TE record.

If you don't think he's as good, if not better, physical specimen as Pitts, you're definitely crazy.

Gilbert may cause more trouble than he's worth. I love Cole Taylor, plays well, much improved, much potential, and never forget...the only Tiger to have sense enough to lose his shoe so Marco Wilson could throw it down the field and win the game for the Tigers....

Look, I have immense skepticism about Gilbert coming back, but to act like he and Taylor are even in the same universe of TE is ridiculous.
