-Now the next one, is no question Arik Gilbert and what are his plans moving forward? From everything I know, and I have not talked to him in months, I am hearing he has been in school online and he is on a path to be eligible to play this season somewhere. LSU is no doubt making a huge play to him to come back. One source that is pretty connected , called me on Monday evening and told me “I think he is going to end up at Georgia.” So I immediately spent most of the day on the phone yesterday checking on that. This sounds like it is getting very interesting here… I am not ready to make that call, but I can tell you that source is STRONG and he has no dog in this fight at all, so coming from him, I took it serious from then on. I will see what else I hear going into this weekend.
Darnell Washington would enter the portal then as well as the other 2 stud 4* TEs they have.
But I don't buy it. LSU has som leverage on Arik on if he can play immediately in sec. there is a reason he committed to UF then uncommitted. Rumor is he would have to sit a year.
LSU is only school that can guarantee him no sitting out.

How did it take an hour plus for anyone to see this on his Twitter account? I thought there was a bunch of Twitter stalkers on here?

It's here under this IG. It's not real.
Arik Gilbert IG?
If it's a fake account, players are replying to him. So I think it's real.

Let me get this right. He goes to Florida, doesn't enroll, than enrolls in secret in some other third party school without a scholarship. Pays his own way to take online class so he can be eligible for the Fall.
- Why not just enroll at Florida? Haha
- Why not just take classes at LSU? Haha
- Why not enroll immediately at GA and take the classes there? Haha
This is assuming that the SEC transfer rule is changed.

Nope. He didn’t go to UF because he wouldn’t be able to qualify in time for the season. Same goes for UGA. His best bet is to take online courses at LSU (if that was possible) for the past semester, then attend summer and intercession courses. He has to get his GPA up. His best best is LSU.

Jordy mentioned today that Gilbert took spring classes at LSU and needs 6 hours in the summer to be eligible to play ball in the fall.

So he’s further along than most thought. 6 hours over the summer is definitely doable. That’s only 2 classes.

Definitely doable. Just wish we’d hear something about learning the new offense. In time I guess.

He's a plug and play. I get that some learning is always necessary but he's the kind of football player that will adapt really quickly, especially if put in the right spots to speed up the process. If it's true that he just needs 6 hours, consider it done - he knows dollar signs are on the line now.

LSU, the staff is not counting on him being back. It might happen, but I would consider it a long shot at this point.
Thats from dandy don.
Combined with that rumor from the georgia board, it seems like it might be time to just cut ties.
If he wants to go to georgia, let him do the schoolwork at georgia.

Don’t say dumb shite based on unfounded rumors

“From a talent standpoint, he is already on Pitts level if not better. Thats why he is the "greatest TE prospect" ever known.”
You’ve lost your fricking mind. That kid ain’t nowhere close to Pitts in anyway. He’s not as talented and he’s not on the same level as a football player. Not even remotely close in either aspect.

Arik Gilbert will never play another down of football at LSU.
