Well Pitts is faster, has better hands and not only blocks, Gilbert doesn’t at all, but blocks well enough for Florida to run behind him almost all of the time. Go back and watch the LSU vs Florida game in 2019, when Florida ran they ran behind him, when they threw they threw to him. Their offense ran through Pitts everyone knew it and they still couldn’t stop it. That’s why he was drafted so damned high, highest ever for a TE in NFL history. Gilbert was a side piece on a team with 1 reliable returning player. He dropped balls left and right and never even dominated so much as a quarter.

The information is not really all that “pro-LSU”. Just that it’s trending that way because the easiest way for him to make up the course work & be eligible is at LSU. He isn’t even in BR right now

To say kick him to the curb is just emotional crap because you can’t handle to ebbs & flow of this story. It’s his life not yours

Your opinion will change when he gets to play in a real offense that isn’t just 4 yard routes

I don’t mean he can’t be a productive player, that isn’t what I’m saying, but he’s not Kyle Pitts and hasn’t even shown a flash of anything close to Pitts. They’re not even really the same type of player or level of athlete.

Ya, not emotional about it at all. Easiest way to handle it is to just let him go if he doesn't want to be at LSU. Dont really know why LSU should continue to help him get eligible just to have him go to a competitor. That doesnt make any sense, cut ties and let georgia get him eligible.

And sometimes people need to deal with the consequences, deserved or not. If it truly is a medical condition, then the kid should be worried about getting his health under control and not be worried about football this year.

King, Kyle pitts had 3 catches in 11 games as a freshman

Gilbert just had 35 in 8 games.

He’s well ahead in development & based on high school testing, should measure out with a very similar athletic profile.

Gilbert had a much much better freshman season than Pitts and that was playing less games in an offense that didn’t know what to do with him. To say Gilbert can’t be as good or better as Pitts is asinine and stupid.

And Jarell Myers had way more catches than Jamar Chase at LSU his freshman season.

And to blame an offense that’s much more pass happy and that featured him is living in a delusion. Then you put words in my mouth, I never said he “can’t” be as good. Who knows maybe he works harder than any other right he’s ever and somehow makes up the Grand Canyon level chasm talent wise between he and Pitts but the fact remains as of now they’re not in the same class athletically or as players. Pitts is 6-6, 250 and ran the second best time for a TE ever while being drafted 4th overall. A player like him never has to come off the field while someone like Gilbert will because he can’t block and can’t be a primary inline player. Now maybe try not using straw men or being a dishonest jackass next time you post.

Not saying you’re not right but how was Pitts’ blocking as a freshman? Sophomore? Junior? Did he improve? Gilbert was only a freshman... you’re comparing apples to oranges.

So Pitts was so good he only played in 3 games his freshman season. Got it.

How right is Dandy typically? Not trying to diminish his reporting, but just curious.

No you’re right, the highest drafted TE in football history isn’t very good.
