It is now a high salary developmental league......they just wear LSU uniforms and play in Tiger Stadium.... many are not student athletes!

If we’re doing it within the rules, heck yea.

Do I think they need to change the rules? Heck yea.

I don't love all the lawsuits and crap, but it's not like LSU is picking up guys who were established NFL players, high draft picks, or even likely to make a team. And several of them would likely have foregone the draft had the NCAA decided to allow the class of 2022 HS grads to have a 5th year.

So, yeah, I'm OK with it.

Do I like what is happening in college football? No!!!

But these are the current rules we are operating under so I want LSU to take full advantage of said rules.

I have no problem with other schools doing the same.

Their argument is that they only went pro because they didn’t think they had a choice but now they do have the option to return (sort of) and therefore should be eligible.

Problem is that you can’t put this back in the box. If someone leaves after years 3 or 4 and doesn’t make a roster, they’re going to try and return.

The league will figure out a way to fix this because having someone on 90 person roster ask to get cut so they can transfer to a new school is a problem for them.

This is like when people try to slam LSU for winning the 2007 title with 2 losses.

"Y'all won the NC in the weakest year."

Me: "Well, it beats the hell out of NOT winning the NC in the weakest year."

Absolutely- especially since I was scared at the end of 2021 we were headed back to the dark days of the early 90s

My only concern is that I don’t think 50+ mil rosters are sustainable long term

Indiana had 23-24 year old players left and right. I’d argue that’s more than 5 years in some cases.

Yep but I also hope LSU winning the Natty this year BREAKS the current college football NIL/Portal model! I hope Lane burns it to the ground and we get a hard reset back to a more Traditional CFB model!

Count me in coach!

You think Bama and some of the other schools paying players under the table more than LSU back in the day minded that they won?

Hell No.
