I'm starting to wonder if Zalleva and Alexander are trying to avoid getting another life tiger. It would be just like these two to do this to LSU
;lol: at the ignorance on this board.

Thanks,
Just what we need...another thread with no other purpose than to create a venue to bash Alleva and Alexander. As if we don't already have enough.

They will interview a bunch of different tigers, but ultimately decide on that rest stop tiger because he's got some Cajun in his blood.

Same here. Feels like we got Mike VI much quicker than this.
We got Mike VI about 3-4 months after V died.
Why? Because Mike V was already in "retirement" when he died. The Vet School has much more time to prepare the search of a new tiger.
When Mike VI was first diagnosed, they thought he had 2 years to live. Turns out he died only a few months later.
Be patient. Tigers aren't like going to the pet shop and buying a fish.

So are you Alleva, F. King or an AD shill?

Even a holographic one would be better than what they have now.

Isn't the head of the vet school in charge of the search. Surely someone in the vet school would know something.

Let me take this opportunity to say....PETA murders animals. The truth is out there!!!
PETA does not want LSU to have another tiger. LSU needs to tell this animal death cult group to euthanize itself.

Get some possums instead. There's one that hangs around my yard and trolls my dog. Named him Bovice. I'll bring him in.

I posted this on another thread:
Are we going to continue growing our tradition of being the example of what it means to love and care for nature? LSU has dedicated a great portion of land to the care and comfort of all Mikes and Mikes to come. When so much land is being torn down for the benefit of parking lots and buildings, LSU has designated a great portion of its own land to Nature. Just think about it, if LSU does discontinue the Mike the Tiger Program, what will happen to the land designated to Mike? The land would be turned into parking and have buildings raised up on it. There are times when PITA has a valid point and a place in the world, just like everyone else but those concerns should be directed to the cruelty and ill treatment to animals. Are they really for the preservation of animals? Think about it, tear down Zoo's and wild life centers designated to specific endangered animals. What does that really do for the animals being pushed out of their own natural environments? What happens to the land that was designated to those animals? It just lessens the room for those animals to live and breed. Yes, make sure those designated areas are properly taken care of and make sure the animals are not being neglected but to shut those areas down will do nothing but create less space for the animals. Mike is LSU and makes LSU unique. Don't stop a great tradition because of outside pressure that is misguided and obviously has an agenda other than what they try to hide behind.

We need to just start calling them croutons. PITA (yes, I really do know this is not their acronym) has gone stale and lost its initial purpose.

Joe will likely settle for a Pixie-Bob out of Gheens, rather than perform an actual search.

None of the above. I'm a poster who is tired of seeing this same tripe week after week. It's tired, worn out, not cute and outright stoooopid. Truck stop Tony
Posted on 1/12/17 at 2:44 pm to Maniac979
Joe is trying to call Tony The Tiger. Alleva can't read the cereal box though

Waiting to compare bids from tiger-r-us, tiger depot and Costco (those guys have everything).
Posted on 1/12/17 at 4:57 pm to RichJ
Have Mike's handlers been flying on the LSU plane?

Yes, Dr. Baker said at one of the press conferences that F King told him to begin the search for a new tiger immediately.
But Alleva sucks, F King is trying to ruin tradition, blah blah, yada yada.
