It will happen eventually, and yes the administration is committed to such. However, the Vet School is being very diligent in their search. First of all, there is the issue of regulations. Secondly, there is the issue of the tiger's health. A lot of inbreeding occurs and one has to vet the health and history of such an animal for any health genes that could compromise the tiger. After all, we don't want to get a tiger that we have to put down two years later. It will happen, but it is a tedious process.

On a serious note, Mexican drug lords are the people to talk to about buying a live Tiger. They all have them, and love posting photos with them on Snapchat.
That's how most of them get caught, fwiw. But hey, at least we know where to find them.

...and evidently none of them have ever worked in a senior executive position of a large organization. I have. Did it for 20 + years. I left a lot more patient person than when I went in. Some things are simple and some things are not as simple as they seem.

Indeed. They have been looking since before the Alabama game, for sure. I have a friend who is a professor in the Vet school. Told me the search was on at the bama game. Ideally would like a juvenile, not a cub. Ideally a physically and psychologically healthy rescue tiger.
