I can’t think of two more different people than Archie Manning and Lane Kiffin. The only things they have in common are football and Ole Miss.
Their interactions were probably awkward as hell.

The Mannings hate LSU so not surprising and UT and OM are mad at Lane so what would you expect. Those are his kid's schools.

They truly do not understand their place.

Well Archie lives and made all his money in Louisiana but didn’t send any of his family to Louisiana colleges so that makes him an a-hole.

Every time I watch TV , there is a Manning peddling something . Honestly , I am tired of them and I dont care what Archie says .

Pot meet kettle.
Coming from a family who forced their way with Eli to New York.

Speaking of narcissism , Arch went on a recruitment tour interviewing coaches . Saban probably told him he would actually have to compete for the starting job at Bama !

And here I thought I couldn't like Lane more than I already do.
The Mannings lecturing anyone else on self-praise and self-promotion is rich.

Doubt very seriously that Archie would talk like this - period.

It was well known in New Orleans that Archie disliked Kiffin well before he accepted the LSU job. He distanced himself from the Ole Miss program during his tenue. Kiffin was the first hire in many years that he was not directly involved in making.

Is he actually mild mannered and even keeled? Or is he a fake Mississippi redneck who makes that his personality because the hicks in that state eat it up? Their whole family seems like a bunch of douches to me

That’s rich coming from Archie. Didn’t he and Eli tell the Chargers that Eli would refuse to play for them if they drafted him, and they then forced a trade to the Giants? Sounds very narcissistic jerk-ish to me for sure. Imagine being so spoiled and self-centered that an NFL team drafts you and offers to pay you millions of dollars but you refuse to play for them because you like another team better.
Yep. I was coming to post this. I’d love someone in the media to call him out for this

I recall Dandy Don Meredith singing - "Turn out the lights the party's over" as Stabler administered the final coup de grâce to end their almost miraculous comeback. All this while Archie sobbed on the sidelines.
Legendary stuff.
Manning tears are delicious.

Yall missed the old classic LSU saying/song. The Ballad of Archie Who.

Nah Reddit is the cesspool. Not even close.

Archie Manning is a great guy but I really don't care about his opinion on Lane Kiffin. As far as I'm concerned, they are just bitter. Nobody from Ole Miss was shitting on his name until he left Ole Miss.

Bill Belichick, Nick Saban, Curt Cignetti, Jim Harbaugh, Woody Hayes, Urban Myer, Steve Spurrier all are considered arrogant jerks. It takes a Jordan, Kobe a-hole mentality to be great. Lane can be pretty damn funny.

Manning has always worn a mask. This is a glimpse of his meanness and sense of entitlement. I bet he is scroogy with his money.
