That's the one. What was the score? 41-27?

Fixed

Only PAC 12 homers say the PAC 12 is as good as the SEC. You clearly didn't answer my first question. How many PAC 12 teams have won a National Title in the last 20 years?

I did not say or even imply they were as good as the SEC. I have never said or implied that and won't. I merely posted objective data to dispute the assertion that the PAC is shitty, weak, crappy.

To answer your question--two in the last 20, three in the last 21. Yes, we know how many the SEC has won. ANd yes,we know the SEC is hands down the best FB conference. However, my point is not that the PAC is better than the SEC, but simply that they are not weak or shitty, as posters are quick to state. Their record in the past decade against THE premier conference supports that point.

Listening to XM college radio yesterday and they think Lane Kiffin is second only to Saban in coaching

I don't know if I'd go that far but he does seem to be panning out a lot better than expected. While on probation/scholarship limitation/bowl ban he's managed to put together a pretty good club.

The AP Poll has no effect on the BCS and means nothing and whoever is surprised by the media which is largely based in LA voting for USC has not paid attention to CFB for the last 10 years.

I think with Kiffin at SC, so far, so good. You can't argue the point that he's put together the best recruiting class in the nation (while sanctioned), using scholarship limits as a selling point (exclusivity sells.) I still expect to lose two games this season, probably to Stanford and Utah, but I think beating Oregon twice will put us in a good BCS bowl, and I think we'll win it. It's really difficult to win a National Championship, and starting as the AP #1 the odds are stacked against us going wire to wire. Only two teams have done it before.

Yes you can because he has . Bama almost dropped off the recruiting map while sanctioned. ( Unless you meant he has as well.)

Might wanna rethink that statement. They are not largely based in LA

Perfect. I'm surprised they were unable to get Oklahoma up in the 1 or 2 spot though.

Always the best attitude

If I look at it objectively all teams are incredibly talented. LSU is the only one without a tested quarterback. We'll be number 1 in enough time and when it counts.

Perfect, great place for us to start. Some recognition but not enough respect or hype to keep the team hungry.

Nothing would be more awesome for TD than for LSU to stay #1 in the coaches and USC #1 in the AP all year long until the BCS.

(...and then have LSU play Oklahoma in the final BCS rankings.)
