Non LSU related - but the Big East sucks arse. One team in the top 25, Louisville at #25.

Unreal, we drop in polls because we lost a CB. That's has to be a first in the history of poll voting. USC has zero depth and won't be there at the end anyways.

Seeing the mess at TN Vols that Kiffen left behind after just one year there, it amazes me how or why people see him as such a great coach. He is the antithesis of Saban and Miles. He has never had sustained success buiding a long term winner anywhere he has been I predict in short order, something big will happen at USC that will unravel the image of a winner the media thinks he is building. It will start at the end of this year by being blown out in the BCS game by LSU...and if not us then BAMA.

Nothing would be more awesome for TD than for LSU to stay #1 in the coaches and USC #1 in the AP all year long until the BCS.

(...and then have LSU play Oklahoma in the final BCS rankings.)

Here comes the non stop coverage of USC on espn

After week one, Bama will thrash Michigan and everyone will jump on their nuts. Rankings will be Bama, USC, LSU until we spank Bama in November giving them no choice but to put it LSU, USC, OU (if undefeated), Oregon(if undefeated), Bama

Then Oregon, USC, and OU slip up paving the road for another rematch "because bama lost @ LSU"

The Tigers were poised to start the season No. 1 before Heisman Trophy finalist Tyrann Mathieu got kicked off the team a week ago.

In light of that development, the AP extended the voting deadline. Before Mathieu was dismissed, reportedly for failed drug tests, LSU had received 28 of a possible 60 first-place votes. USC was a close second with 22 first-place votes and Alabama was third with nine.

Odd. We were originally voted #1, then they took a re-vote and dropped us to #3. I've never heard of their doing that in the past.

The fact they didn't put Notre Dame in the top 25 shocks me more than putting LSU #3.

Good I'm glad we're number 3.

Yeah, gotta agree. I don't care where we start preseason rank, only the one at the end of the season. The lower we're ranked, the more bulletin board material the team will have.
