I turned it on for five seconds and she said that 50 million sounds like a lot compared to 160 million. She least we forget instead of lest we forget. Then, she brings up another case and she's not even prepared on the details of the settlement and has to ask the "audience." I watched for less than a minute and caught those 3 things.

these people see dollar signs. nothing more nothing less. i hope LSU does not settle. that is what they are banking on.

There are two trains of thought as to why she picked this representation. 1) None of the more reputable firms would take it due to fear of other customers no longer using their services or 2) She is crazy.

Depends on which judge gets the case. There are plenty of judges out there who would be friendly to these lawyers and the plaintiff. And Louisiana has plenty of train wreck judges. Anyone who thinks only the facts or perceived facts are relevant to this case is naive.

after 23 years as a trial lawyer, one learns that you underestimate your adversary at your own peril.
plenty of bad lawyers have stumbled upon gold bricks through no skill of their own. or as one of my colleagues once said, the sun shines on a dog's arse every now and then.
LSU would be wise to take this with the utmost seriousness.
