A&M was thrilled when Yeskie left. Thought they were stupid Aggies back then. Now they look somewhat smart.
Yeskie got a ring at lsu. Explain how they are smart.

Jay Johnson if he decides to go in another direction after the season?
Let him go, this is embarrassing for a top 5 payroll in college baseball.
fricking Bethune Cookman has players that can play better than what Jay is putting out there.

So are you Yeskie lovers saying that he’s done a great job this season? If he were such a great pitching coach, this would not be happening

Things change frick face.

Yeah, thinking the most decorated pitching coach in college baseball, after having 2 years of great pitching at lsu, shouldn't be fired means I'm a democrat.
Where do you frickers come from? Turning every convo into politics.

A coach doesn't go from being the best pitching coach in college baseball to sucking in 10 months.
Our pitching staff was good in 2024 and 2025....
quote:
The 2024 Tiger pitching staff finished No. 2 in the nation in shutouts (7), No. 4 in strikeouts per nine innings (11.5) and No. 9 in hits allowed per nine innings (7.83). The 2025 Tigers meanwhile accomplished similar feats finishing No. 7 nationally in ERA (3.73), No. 6 in hits allowed per nine innings (7.27); No. 4 in strikeouts per nine innings (11.7); No. 12 in strikeout-to-walk ratio (2.83) and No. 12 in WHIP (1.27).

If he is retained, brace yourself for at least a half a decade of mediocrity in baseball at best. Best players will stop coming to LSU with no pitching staff.

Because Yeskie hasn’t developed any pitchers into high draft picks?

Yeskie has less than 2 weeks left in BR.

Yeskie has coached over 130 MLB Draft selections

I agree with you, pitching sequence seems like he’d rather give a walk sometimes over challenging the hitter. However, like you I agree, he’s still one of the top if not the top pitching coach in the country.
I’m incredibly grateful that idiots that rant here have zero influence on this team

Wonder how many CPM has coached?

bullshite. This is the worst staff in forty five years. He's not the best.

He's not perfect and yes, losing 2 starters no team is going to overcome that. You can't deny the numbers though with pitchers he's been working with for years. Maybe 1-2 guys from last year hasn't regressed. Everyone else did with some staggeringly bad pitching numbers. He's not above criticism and don't think he's safe to keep his job either. In order to be this bad it's a lot more than just losing 2 starting pitchers and this is definitely partly on Yeskie's shoulders just as it is Jay.
Well said. The fact that this pitching staff has legit talent, but has been this bad is certainly not a good look for a coach. Based off of pure talent, I could see why Jay thought this was his best pitching staff yet. Problem is, if you can’t get the ball over the plate, having swing and miss pitches becomes irrelevant. The amount of pitchers who are averaging more than 1 free base per inning on this staff is pathetic.
Yeskie won’t get fired, but he might find a new job after the season.

He is the pitching coach. He should be responsible for talent evaluation and development of our pitchers. He has failed miserably. Time for a change.
