Rice 1988 or 89 I think. Sammy Martin caught the first screen pass and went 80 yds. I think he and Harvey Williams each had 1000 yds that night.

I remember being awe struck. It was just way to easy

LSU 77 Rice 0

Carlos Carson caught 5 TD passes.

I became a fan for life that night.

Yep, it was during my first year at LSU. Me and some friends dropped acid that day and somehow wound up at the LSU game.

Haha. Was that LSU/Geo in 2003? If so, we probably know each other.

I remember mine.

I was 8 years old in 1966.

LSU 10
Miami 8

That was the second home game of that year. The only game I missed was the first one that was famous for the return to Tiger Stadium of Paul Dietzel who was coaching the South Carolina Gamecocks. I guess one of the adults managed to scoop up my ticket for that occasion.

I don't know if it was the same game, but at my first, Eddie Kennison ran something back for a touchdown.

My first game in Tiger Stadium was in 1970 and we played Pacific. Fun fact. They are also Tigers.

Late 90s vs Georgia.

I had just got some new red and black tennis shoes for kindergarten, some UGA fans sitting next to my pawpaw and I had some fun messing with me about it. I don't remember any of the game, first game I really remember everything was 2000 beating Alabama.

Yeap. Miami of ohio circa 87 or 88. At the beginning of the game the light went out completely on the southwest light tower.

I remember tigerband playing “something happened on the way to heaven” by phil collins. The trumpet intro to the song was amazing

LSU vs. UAB 2013. Everyone remembers the Kick Six in the Iron Bowl that year, but Odell Beckham did it first.

My first was sometime in 89. I barely remember it. The first one where I was mature enough to know exactly what was happening: Arkansas State 1991 at age 8 (we won 70-14).

Do they still have a football team?

Funner fact: there's a school in L.A. called Occidental College, known as "Oxy." I don't think they ever played LSU, but they were also known as The Tigers, until they dropped football during the pandemic year of 2020. Their colors were orange and black. They played in Jack Kemp Stadium, named after former Buffalo Bills QB, congressman, and VP candidate Jack Kemp, who was a star for the Tigers back in the 1950's.

100% 44-3 Miami.

Got straight A's on my report card and Dad got us tickets. Only 1 upper deck. We sat 2nd row from the top. It rained underneath us.

My dad says at halftime I asked if we could cheer for Miami now. He took me to Ruth's Chris before the game. Great memories. I got one of the smaller LSU footballs that you could throw a mile.
