Who hates him? I love O, but he wasn’t the best choice. Of course no one can take 2019 away from him but, ultimately, his 2020 & 2021 pushed us to where we are today.

He checks the most boxes other than Lanning, but I don't think Lanning comes here without a massive payday and I think he'll be a mistake. I never said Lane wouldn't get paid, but he's also made money and he understands that taking a little less could in theory go towards keeping him at LSU longer. Does he play it that way? I doubt it, but if I were a coach i'd put my cards on the table and say, yea I'll take $5M/year plus heavier incentives as long as the boosters aren't shy about NIL. You win, you make bank, you don't and it's out of your hands.
