? I'm not making any judgements on Finley. Of course it's understandable Brennan is further along.
Yes, correct. If we are making the decision now, with the data we have been given, it should be Myles Brennan. That's why I said I'm interested to see how Finley gets better.

There is a chance of this happening. We may not even hear about it as coach speak usually hides stuff like that but if Brennan transfers after spring ball that would be why.
Haskins was never named the starter at Ohio State following spring practice but Burrow transfers anyway which means inside that building it was know Haskins would start.

I'd also say that finley had a distinct advantage due to being right handed and how a lefty QB would have challenged an already sub-par OL

Haskins was the higher rated recruit and played against Michigan. It's not the same at all.
Yes if Brennan transfers it means he lost the job, but he's probably not going to lose the job unless it's a catastrophic injury and Finley gets really good.

I would bet with the guy coming in next year, Brennan staying and Finley getting the nod that MJ will be looking for a place to go.

I will give you Myles was a higher rated recruit but Finley will have more starts in an LSU uniform than Myles Brennan by the end of the year.

If he doesn't get a fair number of reps the rest of the year to show what he can do, I hope he is bright enough to transfer out to a program where he will get a real shot to play.
If Finley is given the starting job at the beginning of 2021, I hope Brennan leaves as well.

Nope not all. We have Brennan and Finley coming back plus Nussmeier.

We'll see how he looks by the end of those extra starts. Right now it's very obvious who is more advanced and until Finley makes up that gap they are going to start Brennan. Need to see that happen before we start proclaiming Finley as the guy.

If he transfers, we still have Brennan, Finley, Nussmeier. He's likely 4th string next year. I'm not a fan of his, but it's not an insult. That's a damn good qb room.

Will really hate to see him go, but might be tough to get much playing time. MB does not lose an eligibility year, so Finley goes back to the bench. Afraid Max is just too talented to wait for, maybe, a single year.

1. Do we 100% know that Myles will return to LSU in 2021?
2. I am pretty sure LSU's squad in 2021 will NOT have 4 or even 5 qb's on it. Someone is going to leave.
