Perhaps but what can you really tell from that if the other teams have players who are not on the 2-deep, major backups in at that time.

Has Finley improved? He has played two pretty weak defensive teams, and had a basic offense to manage him. Not knocking him, but I not sure he has proven very much.

Finley and Johnson need to go through a full spring off-season practice, learn a complete offense before any decisions can be made. After watching Burrow last year and how his athletic ability brought the offense to another level, I think Johnson has more of that ability than Finley does. Finley is pretty slow afoot.

Good Lord. He played the 2 best defenses LSU has played among their 6 games. Auburn and Arkansas. Vandy is going 0 and 10 ok, Arkansas, and South Carolina are both better wins than Vanderbilt. As for who has more ability, I guess the coaches disagree with you. Johnson runs better but Finley has more arm talent.

Finley obviously was coaches in HS to take a snap under center, we have made I think 5 or so first downs on QB sneaks with Finley.

After this signing date, LSU will have 4 scholarship QB's on its roster heading into next fall, all 4 of them will not finish their career at LSU.

They can down vote all they want. They have short memories.
With the new transfer rules we can wake up on day and have 1-2 scholarship QB's on the roster.

It's the same o-line on first and second down when Myles put up those numbers.

No it isn't. Maybe the same players but the OL was new at the beginning of the season. They had to learn to play together as a team. Plus Rosenthal has been in and out of the lineup. They should improve each game, and I believe they have.

With the OL going into next season, LSU might need 3 QBs to make it through the entire season

They have Nussmeier coming on top of the 3 returning. Nobody is rooting for a qb to leave but this kind of depth is a good problem.

Its a good problem to have. I think Brennan is the more likely transfer. But, if you have 2 good QB's in the same class, the beaten out one maybe should leave for a win win situation for all. Joe Burrow comes to mind.

Im with you, Johnson looks great, and seems like a real baller and leader. The kind of QB that can make things happen and guys like to play for.
But Finley may be a very special player.

Hes not getting enough credit for the drive before the break and the final drive as far as Im concerned.

More likely Brennan wins the QB battle in the spring then Johnson leaves. Good news is we've upgraded QB spot in the past 3 years and we have talented backups.

Where do you fricking morons come from? Brennan is the starter again as soon as he’s healthy. Neither of these guys have shown they’re remotely ready to be a full time starter

Worry more about getting someone anyone who can block for whomever stays at QB.

Keep crowding it. Ohio state and Oklahoma do it and it seems to work pretty well for them...

I agree with that.
He will get his opportunity. As long as we are moving the ball, in close games, it would be foolish to change QBs. If it becomes apparent that Finley is not moving the team and a change might give us a win, then he will play, IMO.
