Ahh, the transitive property….they barely beat AM with Weigman at QB…LSU would have won by 17 if Weigman stays in that game.

He once again has a first round mobile QB. I bet you they lose to UGA

Look at their shite schedule. You think if they played an sec schedule they'd look that good.

Yep but their schedule is crap and a huge advantage in this format. ND would not sniff last year’s 4 team format. Even if the SEC sheds all hard OCC games, they still have each other. ND can.

A thing called strength of schedule.

One of the things I don’t get is how letting Denbrock leave was not considered a huge mistake in retrospect. We probably beat USC with him at the least. Sloan is garbage and we need to find someone to be the co-oc to help him. Or let Bk stay involved with playcalling. But losing a veteran playcaller has created an issue for us that we are still trying to solve.

Not only was their schedule a joke, they lost to NIU.

Avg. 39.9 pts/game at ND this year.

Good for him. But go back and watch both FSU games and watch our offense get to the goal line and get zero points multiple times. He is good but situationally he made dumb decisions. I think he's better than Sloan tho.

In his first year at LSU, his offense in the regular season averaged 32.5 PPG with that kid Jayden and an SOS ranked 5th.

Sloan's offense in the regular season averaged 29.33 PPG with Nuss in his first year as the full-time starter which included a 2.5-game QB meltdown in that season and an SOS ranked 7th.

Notre Dame's SOS in the regular season this year is ranked 19th and they have a senior QB who has been the starter for three seasons (he did miss a lot of last season due to injury).

I would have been happy if Denbrock stayed but, while I have questioned some of his playcalling at times, I do not think Sloan did a bad job. I realize I may be in the minority there..

What’s funny is this board trashed him last year and said we wouldn’t miss him and that his play calling sucks. All the same stuff yall are saying about Sloan now

The thing I don't get is how Rantards believe they can accurately judge a playcaller's ability.

I wonder if Kelly even interviewed anyone else other than Sloan. Hard to believe the best OC he could get was a guy with 1 year of CUSA experience and he thought that was best for the program.

They literally beat the two worst versions of TAMU and USC. My God USC in the opener was the best USC all year. TAMU in the opener never even attempted the backup QB and had a new OC, DC, and head coach.

Also, let's not act like this LSU team was anywhere near the same as the one that lost to USC at the beginning of the year. Whit Weeks and Zy Alexander on defense for example with Caden Durham on offense. Where were those guys vs USC?

I miss a competent OC. If this team had a top 25 OC, year would have looked pretty different.
