You don’t charge someone “to see how everything shakes out”.

And Belton’s father is the one who would have decided to file the felony charges to Holly in the first place

Is that worth the countersuit for defamation after they charged/arrested an innocent person? His name was all over the internet for attempted murder

Pretty easy to claim the negative effects this case will have on his NIL potential

Is that really a photo from last week? Being from North Louisiana, I am a huge Holly fan, but totally surprised that Kelly would allow him to be with the team until he is cleared publicly(if ever cleared).
I have to question that too. He was arrested around 3 weeks ago and suspended from school and all team activities by the next day. If you believe that picture then you have to believe he got out in a day or two then showed up at a public appearance with the team.

I doubt Cane's would have been ok with him there just days after the news broke.

Posted Feb 25th on a recruiting weekend. He had probably been out of jail for at least a week by then

Seems very odd that he would be in that picture assuming it's current.

Why? If he got bailed out on 2/17, then he would be back in BR going to classes.

Even if he is suspended from the team, he is a full-time student

I contested a littering fine in Union Parish when I was 21. I walked into the judges office and saw he graduated from LSU and we started talking LSU football. He waived the money penalty and told me not to throw a dentyne gum wrapper out of the care anymore.

It looks to be team related, but if it wasn't and just an informal gathering, then I guess it's not odd.

They better. It would be beyond fricked up to have a guy who actually played a part in a shooting to be anywhere near the program.

This is a good sign.

Because if you had a player suspended because he was being charged with attempted murder, I would imagine you would want to keep the public appearances with teammates and coaches to a minimum..

How does this have 33 upvotes, the alleged charges are murder. They aren’t just charging anyone there to “sort it out” later

Good luck getting a Union Parish judge, who is elected by residents of Union Parish, to render a judgment against the city/parish/PD

You can throw logic, facts and any reasoning out the window with simple minded people. Say something they WANT to believe, and they will accept it as fact simply because it aligns with their agenda.

how exactly would they go about telling players they can't be with a friend?

You have to understand the mentality of some of those around here. There’s a vocal select few that would have no problem with someone being released from prison JUST to play during the season, regardless of if murder was committed, car-jacking, bank robbery, etc., so long as the can score touchdowns, block, tackle, or intercept a pass. The do not care about anything else so long as “can he still play” is allowed.

Not saying that kid is guilty or not guilty. Just using this instance as an example of the win at all and any cost mentality of some around here.

True. And only the absolute dumbest of the dumb will try to respond to the post. The rest just gets some weird satisfaction out of clicking a downvote button, but they won't dare respond and out themselves.

I suppose you don't. You can certainly tell the two staff members seen in the picture that they shouldn't be publicly hanging out with him and posting it on social media though.
