Where does the PMAC rate compared to other SEC schools?

KM has demanded upgrades to the PMAC. The Queen gets what she wants. The PMAC is old! It was built in the 70's and needs serious refurbishment or replacement. If it's replaced where do you put the new building? How long will it take to build and what does LSU athletics (MBB, WBB, Gym, VB) do while it is being built?

It doesn't need to be demolished and rebuilt. Just gutted and extensively refurbished.

UNO Lakefront is better. Also, the basketball game experience is pretty weak. That nerd on the mic is awful. Also, his mic only worked half the time.

The plans are to build another facility (not necessarily a new PMAC) further down Nicholson where that sewage plant is. The other facilities (track stadium & swimming) will be moved down Nicholson near Alex Box. Whether the PMAC is renovated or torn down & rebuilt…im not sure.

If rebuilt, I really wish they would keep it exactly where it is now. I hate that stadiums are moving further form campuses. Tear it down, play somewhere else for a couple years and keep that college feel.

Agreed.

Right up against Tiger Stadium is awesome.

Also could move track and build new PMAC there.

Agreed. I love how it's a stone's throw away from Tiger Stadium.

I've always had this thought of a new arena with funding from Shaq and other big donors called the "O'Neal Center" but I'm dreaming.

The PMAC probably doesn't nee to be destroyed but absolutely needs updates all over the place and is failing way behind other SEC and even P5 programs. Look around the country and you'd be surprised at how nice many basketball arena's are.

There is only so much lipstick you can put on it. And the cost of breaking it down to the studs and redoing instead of building anew is not enough of a discount or time saver to think that's a better idea.

We need a new structure. Look at Ole Miss' arena. Great example of what ours can be.

Across from Magnolia Mound?

Why would they put a new facility off campus and with the Presidential projects in between?

Hard to tell except we all know it’s better than Vanderbilt.

There is a study being done now. The LSU golf course may be the best location.

Completely disagree with your disagreement!

Keep it close to campus and tiger stadium. Could be an easy gut and rebuild inside as many of the plans have shown.

Centroplex. Easy solution to this question.

If they tear it down, put it back in the same spot. Keep the name.
