I think he knew he needed a small zone on Sunday. And, when those high strikes were called, it set him off.

Actually I think whatever happened between Morrison and Jordan lit the fuse.

If that's the first time the kid has encountered an opposing team trying to get tells, then what the frick is going on in the sunbelt?

Starting with “We don’t admire much” comment. CC kind of set the tone of being kind of pricks. Did LSU realize they could easily get under their skin? Maybe. Or just maybe their true colors showed and they allowed their emotions to get the best of them.

In the Morrison Jordan thing between uninhabited, Jordan simply jogged past him and didn’t give him the satisfaction of a reaction which probably made him more angry.

I respect their catcher pretending he didn’t know anything about that.

Morrison thought (real or not) that Jordan was standing way behind the 3rd base coach’s box in order to see his grip in the glove and relay the pitches to the batter.

Its definitely unfortunate that him getting thrown out is the entire narrative everyone is talking about instead of the dominating performance by LSU, but don't be an a-hole and then play the victim

Everyone but CC and LSU fans will forget that...It'll just be another one of LSU's magnificent 8 CWS championships after a little while.

I thought the same thing. Either there really was nothing to that, or the Bodine kid really knows the score and has a leg up on the rest of those Jamokes including the coach(es).

Didn’t he say it was hard to hear a warning from the ump because of 25000 people. I wonder who that would be.

How does a team win 26 straight?

By playing 14 of those 26 games against teams with RPI’s >110. And another 5 against teams with RPI from 55-98 (Southeastern was 51, for reference).

Dude pressed his luck until he ran out of it. He then became the victim. Frick him and he can STTDB.

What an absolute stupid person he must be.

Like I said, "when keeping it real goes wrong."

Coastal's mindset...instilled by the HC was "we aren't going to be disrespected and we aren't going to let anyone push us around." That's fine...but you aren't going to "win" an argument about balls/strikes...no matter how much you want to bow up to an umpire. The smart HC's say their piece on balls/strike but know where the line is and they stop short of it.

This bozo didn't. Then, when the ump told him to walk away so he wouldn't get tossed the HC wasn't going to be "disrespected"...so he got tossed.

It's like people who fight/argue with the cops...eventually leading to getting thrown down an arrested...then say "I didn't do anything wrong".

I already knew this. Im friends with an umpire who calls lsu games during the week. He said the sunbelt umpires hate him. He is an antagonizing douchbag.

"Said Schnall had been chirping about the zone in game 1 also"

I personally saw this.

reality, he didn't have to give the 1B coach a warning at all. Only coach allowed to "discuss" calls with an umpire is the HC. He could've tossed the 1B coach right then and there without a warning being issued. It was Schnall's reaction to it all that got him tossed. The asking "for what" a couple times outside of the dugout would've been fine. It's the aggressive "because you missed 3" that he got tossed. Can't be doing that shite.
whats crazy is he did and gave schna 3 warnings to retreat. It was at that point like you said he decided it was cool to ridicule him, that he got dumped. I can tell you from experience if you get right up to anumpire and express your displeasure with out making a scene, most all the time he won't dump you. But when u get like he did openly, all umpires will toss you. It wasnt even the rule of you cant dispute stories or balls woth an umpire it was his tone ans direction "in front of 25k people". Fastest way to get tossed.

It almost feels like he didn't think that they had much of a chance and was trying to give his team a spark. It was just so bizarre.

That was my thought at the time. Like a basketball coach getting ejected to fire up the team. Just the wrong game to do it though.

This is what “the umpire acted too hastily” people refuse to see or acknowledge.

This

But hurr durr it was the first inning. Oh… so that means he had to be warned that early.

Blue wasn’t putting up with that for 3 hours. If it started that early it was going to get worse.

Coastal's ENTIRE self-identity is one of a "disrespected" program who is told they don't belong with the bigger conference schools. When you have that POV you view everything in the prism of disrespect

But they are not a Cinderella…

They tried to have it both ways. Play the victim card while also saying don’t treat them as a victim

I kinda figured this. I also figured he was getting away with a lot of that in his lower level conference. CC was the big cheese and the conf umps were not going to fight him.

CJJ said in his presser that he was tossed earlier this year for arguing B&Ss and it did not take much.

On a side note when Dickenson HBP call got reversed CJJ took a step out of the dugout and the Ump warned him. He spun around and went back in the dugout and STFU. He knew what hill to die on and what not to…
