It's not Alleva. Alleva is no win on this no matter what... For program he has to suspend Wade since Wade can't speak with NCAA present. Compliance demands NCAA presence. Lawyers say no way Wade to be there with them present and they're right. And now, when Wade gets freed or hammered, and likely the latter, as this thing is tied to Nike and OLOL slush fund. But Alleva can't fire Wade yet so Alleva is screwed no matter what. And after Wade is gone, and make no mistake, he's gone, who is going to take the job? We'll be suspended. We'll lose scholarships. This came from FBI leak and whatever Wade got himself into. Alleva is not to blame for anything.

Wrong the NCAA did not request anything our brilliant administration reached out first

That's because LSU is REQUIRED to contact the NCAA if they are aware of potential violations. After LSU did what they were REQUIRED to do, the NCAA requested to attend the meeting. You should read the NCAA BB rule book before lashing out.

Wade’s boss made a demand of him of that he wasn’t going to able to fulfill considering the fact he is under notice of a federal subpoena.

Dumb assertion. Just because WW is a "potential" witness in federal court, does not prevent him from meeting with his employer. In fact, WW is REQUIRED to meet with LSU AND THE NCAA in this matter because of his contract.

This is garbage. This is an NCAA rule infraction issue, not a legal matter. WW has not done anything illegal. If the "worst" of this WW matter is true, he will not go to jail.

What would happen if Wade and his representation were to meet with Alleva and company and simply pleade the Fifth to every question?

Same result because WW is contractually REQUIRED to cooperate with ANY LSU, SEC OR NCAA INVESTIGATION.

Is there anyone here who hasn’t made their mind up about Alleva and King?

I’m not asking their side, but can at least an arguable case be made that they did the right thing by trying to get ahead of this shitshow for the long term good of the program and the school? This is not a troll or an attempt to stir shite, I think it’s a legitimate question.

If you were asked to go meet your boss and found out that his lawyer, the police and others representing your industry were going to be there, and you asked for your lawyer to be there and to get the details of the meeting, and were told no. You wouldn’t go to the meeting either, unless you are more stupid than your post inducates.
If I refused to go to a meeting with my boss, regardless of stipulations, I would expect to get fired.

If they wanted to get ahead of it, they should have done so six months ago when they first found out about it. But instead they waited for the national media to pressure them into doing something

If you were a potential witness in a federal trial and this meeting was about details about said federal trial WITH a third party, you’d still expect to be fired, or would you grow a set of testicles and use your rights?

"In a timely manner"

That does not mean as soon as possible.

Nah, you trust him to do his job after warning him of consequences if something like this rears its ugly head in the future . And you give him all the rope he can handle to hang himself with. And on queue, that's precisely what he did.

The only rights you have are spelled out in your contract. Nothing more. The constitution isn't coming to save you from your employer.

All these excuses for WW are BS.....he screwed up....LSU had no choice but to suspend him until he is cleared. It's all spelled out in his contract that he signed and WW himself said he understood LSUs actions. He is not the victim here.

Also...i'm sick over it...i have never been this excited about basketball....sad situation

Wade never mentioned this as a reason for not showing up. He cited the FBI investigation alone.

why King and Alleva would not allow Wade to bring his lawyer?
I don’t even see where this happened. Neither Wade, his attorney, nor the Admin’s lawyers seem to
mention it.

I believe Wade’s lawyers said “don’t do it”.
