Didn’t he fire the attorney that gave him the previous advice and hire another one?
Hasn’t it been reported the FBI came to town and possibly told Wade they were against him testifying? Could it be possible they told him the rest of what was on the wiretap? Could it be possible he now can sit with the NCAA and have discussions he could not have had even 1 week ago?
I know the OP is the only genius on this board. But geez man, there are a lot of unknowns here.

This entire time, Alleva’s focus was the NCAA, to show institutional control and try to minimize the inevitable sanctions.
I’m no fan of Alleva, but this was the right move.
