All this melting is silly. If you'd told me to make a choice, it would have been easy

1. You can get someone who will help you win the natty but then lose him immediately

2. You can probably go 9-3 or 10-2 again

I make choice 1 every time

Go do your thing Joe. I wish you weren't leaving. But, I know why you are. And, it's all good.

Banners hang forever.

LSU is the 2019-2020 national football champion.

Absolutely. At this point I wouldn’t care if we lost Brady and Aranda.

We had ONE NC before 2000. The option to get another one is worth trading even 10 years of mediocrity.

I would melt like a MF if we lost Aranda right now too

I've grown very fond of our mad genius.

Dude could easily be on the market in few years when Panthers suck bigly. His systems success was determined by QB and weapons. He has a greater chance to struggle mightily than to succeed in that environment.

Not to mention you want your program to be a stepping stone for up and coming coaches

People in these rolls will always bet on themselves. They didn’t make it there without confidence.

you keep the door wide open for brady to return as OC one day

coaches are fired all the time in NOT FOR LONG NFL.

who knows what RHULE or the GM or owner will do in a few years.

This was part of the plan from the jump. Orgeron was going to take a smaller salary to be a CEO type coach, get the best and the brightest coordinators, and let them do their thing. The natural consequence of that is attrition of your coordinators. Just have to keep making the right staff hires.

It’s not so much a choice: no one is saying we should have hired anyone else

This is more going forward.

I’m just gonna enjoy the championship a little longer

And Orgeron will stay committed to hiring the best assistants. The rising stars will now be lining up to come coach at LSU to try to prove themselves as well.

Again from 1893 to 2002 we won one title. People forget how hard is to win these things. Especially in the modern era a NC every 10 years is huge.

Brady could find out like Saban did. Coaching in pros is not like coaching college kids. Pros have an arrogance about them. Don’t know how he’ll fit in. He definitely doesn’t look like a jock

Anyone worth a shite will be pursued. Top head coaches can find a replacement with little to no drop off. Let’s see how O does.

I agree

Hell we should be bending over to kiss Brady’s arse and thank him for what he helped LSU do this year.

It’s fine to be disappointed that he’s leaving but all these threads sHitting on him is just sad.

Then why have we never seen anything even remotely resembling what we saw this year.

We had basically the exact same set of weapons and OC last year and we still looked like shite offensively most of the year.

Don’t sell Brady short. Maybe he couldn’t have done it without Burrow, but I seriously doubt Burrow could have done it without him.
