I personally think that this is going to be a "wasted year" anyway...so why not throw him in and see what he can do. I have absolutely no confidence in the first two guys...

Throw him in there; that sounds reasonable to you people?

Let's see, we have two QBs that got thrown in there way to soon, by necessity, and both of them are struggling so instead of having patience we should just ruin another one?

And if his confidence gets shot like the other two should we take the red shirt off of Zach Lee and ruin him too?

Hey Ruben Randall played QB for a year in high school, maybe he’s the answer, and so on and so on and so on….

I am sadly convinced that we have surpassed the gumps as the most STUPID fan base in the nation.

Congratulations!

if we such halfway through the year and our QB play is bad, absolutely give garrett a chance

midway through his redshirt season isnt really too early, depending on the makeup of the kid. keep in mind, he also enrolled early in 2009, so im guessing hes pretty bright and he has 2 spring practices under his belt.

+1

I wish people would shut up about this. Garrett is not ready. As bad as Jeff and Lee looked at the spring game, Garrett looked worse. All four of his passes were off target. He looked like a young qb whose not ready yet and in his defense that is exactly what he should look like at this moment in his carreer.

I'm all for giving the kid some mop up duty so he can get some experience and if he really, really shines, then maybe give him a couple of semi meaningful possessions to see what he can do with them. But people who expect him to be better than Lee and Jeff against SEC defenses are crazy/retarded.

This goes back a ways.

When Booty was here, folk wanted Rohan. When Mauck was healthy in 2002, some folk were even wanting Randall in. When Randall became the starter, folk wanted JR. When JR was the starter, there were folk who wanted Flynn in. When Flynn was started, some even wanted RP in the game.

There will always be LSU fans who think the backups can do it better.

Maybe not in every single aspect.

But if you're saying we have the stupidest posters on a flagship message board, you probably have a point.

I've seen Tiger Rant go from an exciting, stimulating place for LSU sports talk to informed, intelligent posters leaving in disgust and leaving it to the dregs.

It hasn't been a pretty sight the last couple years.

if he plays this year in anything other than mop up duty, we will be having a 6-6 season or worse, so no, i don't want him to get a shot this year.

Only I's that matter are Miles and Crowton. We're not out there to see what goes on at practice.
