We always say LSU is a top program and a prim job, but it always seems that we don't get the big fish when jobs open up including the HC position.....

We are who we are but not who we think we are......

Well shite... we all know Les won't put his ego to the side. You are one of many reporting the same info

Miles will lock up his own fate.

Simple- Miles overthinks things making it way more complicated than it is. That is exactly what is going on here

Hope I'm wrong, but Miles is gone within 2 years if Brick is promoted to DC.

Hiring top talent requires solid negotiating skills

Solid negotaiting creates a win win for all parties.

It also requires knowing when the deal is at its pinnacle and settling for the best deal

CLM does not understand the art of negotiation.

How can overthinking be cryptic? He is literally just thinking too much. He plays out scenarios that probably won't even happen in his mind

I don't disagree with your thoughts, but if Miles did step back how would these guys still be in play. Do you think Alleva could handle it?

From what I gather he is as incompetent as Miles.

CLM got caught letting the paint dry

You cannot run the picket fence and not understand the above wisdom

You mean like Chavis, Raymond, Henry, Cooper, etc.

I can see how you missed those though.

Neither of our two guys know how to negotiate and neither will admit it.

They had an easy deal and could have settled this in 48 hours. O and CP were ready-

CLM is not good at clock management and time expired on him.

No one likes to be "played". Chavis did not and neither did our number one target.

I don't believe this for one second.

It hasn't even been a week yet people. A&M's search last over a month. Take a breath.

Except, at this date, an extended coaching search is more likely to affect signing day.

There is another scenario: Often when a candidate suddenly withdraws his name, it's because he senses he's no longer the likely choice and wants to save face. Les may have his guy.
