Miles doesn't know what he wants. His meeting with the staff is beginning to look more like a what do y'all think type of meeting

I think if Orgeron wasn't a big part of this search that we would have a pretty clear idea of who our DC is going to be by now.
Does Miles can Brick at the risk of causing resentment within the staff so he can hire O as DL Coach? Is the meeting tomorrow about reshuffling the staff with someone going to an administrative position so we can hire O regardless of Brick? All possibilities.

Brick must be the stealth hire

There are actually several scenarios in play that overlap. Because Brick signed his extension, we would have to pay him a buyout to get rid of him now. The other option is for him to leave and take another job, but he may be using this situation as leverage. Because he signed before Chavis left, he has the upper hand and can hold up this entire deal because we do not have a open position for Orgeron.
Actually this sets up perfect for O to be our coordinator which Rant group thing 3 days ago was the lowest position he would take.
O-DLine and DC
Brick-Linebackers, you know the position he played and has spent a large portion of his coaching career coaching.

That entire thread was a huge melt from you. Don't crawfish now
I'm not going to. I thought that Stoops would be a bad hire and I still do. With CLM being the guy that he is don't count it out.

Has to be a $$$ thing. Bet CP wants >$1MM. Brick is under with his current contract. Mistake mistake mistake.

Here is one of the comments following Dellenger's column:

Winston Brown Why should we believe anything that you journalist say. You guys are starting to become a paid version of ranters from Tiger Droppings. Who are your sources because you didn't even know about the meeting in Dallas until it was reported out of Oklahoma.

i believe the advocate set the ogre odds as 100-1.

So Brick would be an absolute disaster at DC? Is the board absolutely certain of that?

it's the Rant what do you expect?

If he runs the exact same conservative defensive scheme as Chavis, then absolutely yes. Between Brick and O, we will end up paying almost as much as we did originally for the light version of what we already had. Yeah that sounds awesome.
Now, if he's willing to be more aggressive and do what it takes to increase our sack an interception numbers next year, then I would give him the benefit of the doubt.

As DC yeah it is low, but as a position coach I think the chances are a lot hire.

Page me when they have been right on anything before its after the fact in this coaching search.

That's a very good question. I don't think anybody but a handful of people in Waco were paying attention to Baylor football in 1999 through 2001.
Any bear fans in the house?

This board loves to hate on the advocate but if they post something that could be twisted into a negative about miles, the usual suspects on here go hog wild and cling to their every word.

I hate to say it, but if it ends up bring brick Haley something is severely wrong internally. You don't have the money, resources, available talent that we do and not attract a major name. Something isn't right in the athletic department.......
