Maybe I have my P&G glasses on but this feels like the floor for this team at this point.

McMahon is going to be a better coach and better program manager than Will Wade.

And I liked Will Wade.

At this point I could Coleman as the other starting forward but that could definitely change with who fills the last spot. I don’t even think it is debatable any ore that we have a better roster than last year at this point. The gap there could grow even larger when we fill the 13th spot. Fun to my head I would say we should be projected 4-6 in the SEC but I think a projection higher is crazy by any means

As long as we aren't using personal checking accounts, we should be good to go

I honestly don’t believe Wade thought we would be as good as we were last year. It was supposed to be a “down” year.

I have to say that when McMahon was hired I had pause around his recruiting. I’m happy to say that my initial assessment seems to be wrong based on the recruiting over the last month or so.

We’re in about as good of a position as we could of hoped for compared to just two months ago. I’m looking forward to the season!

Certainly you weren't the only one who was concerned about McMahon's recruiting ability. I was also in that category.

But, the new coach has definitely shown that he can handle it well and the team appears to be a much better condition than many fans expected a few months ago.

So if McMahon is as strong in the other areas as he was at Murray State, maybe we can even look forward to next basketball season.

And that's indeed tremendous news about Adam Miller.

He did a good job of bringing a couple of assistants from power conf. programs. He also kept Tasmin on staff which I'm sure helped bridge the gap. It also helped that he was the coach of arguably the best mid-major (one bid league) team last season from where he could mine transfers.

Even those with big concerns regarding recruting felt he would be able to bring some guys with him from Murray. Outside of those three, the other transfers aren't all that noteworthy. Where the surprise comes in is that he was able to convince three LSU players to return AND sign two top 75 HS prospects despite getting a very late start in recruiting.
