They’re the “Cajuns” and that’s the Cajun flag. Your post is the equivalent of saying LSU can’t have Tigers on their uniforms.

I’ll take Lafayette too. But for LSU, Baton Rouge is scenic refineries, a ghost downtown after 5 and a suburb-now-city of St George that wants nothing to do with it. Geaux Tigers/Cajuns

I never knew that Acadians had a flag ,either, but now that I do, the Acadiana flag should be the Louisiana flag and then N. La should get their own Redneck flag…

The Acadiana flag for ULL makes total sense, if you understand geography. The Cajuns have a small regional base in ACADIANA. Nowhere else in the state. And they know it. So, they appeal to that group and it pays off for them in ticket sales, merchandising, ads, etc. In a sense, they have segregated their fans from the rest of the state. It's a smart move. And no, I did not attend ULL and have only been on that campus once in my life. They know what they are doing. You don't. As for "Louisiana" written on the uniform, that's a recruiting tool for students and athletes. That, too, works for them.

I’ll preface this by saying I love the flag in reference here.
But, if ULL has aspirations of being more than just a regional school in the state, it doesn’t make much sense to have only a regional flag on your uniform. It undermines entirely their intentions.

Acadiana actually represents South Louisiana. In particular, it represents the Lafayette area. Hence the name, UL – Lafayette.

We have our own identity hence the Acadian flag.
I can understand being upset over losing a game but when the strawman argument becomes the Acadian flag patch on our uniforms, you might want to take some time to self reflect.

I actually talked about this before the game, with a friend who is a TSAB fan.
I predicted that fans on this site would use the following terms if they lost:
1. Just a midweek game.
2. The acted like they won the CWS.
3. Lots and lots of ‘usl’’s
But I did forget about the whole ‘little brother’ one. Thanks for sliding that one in.
