I'm going to be with an older crowd, so if that invite is open I would to like play some pong for a while.

Is there anything near the stadium that we should make sure to at least check out? I'm sadly only there for game and then going back to Pittsburgh prior to driving back to Ann Arbor

What are the open container laws in Morgantown? And how strict are the cops in enforcing it?

We're staying downtown on High St., and we're planning on going back and forth between Gameday and the game. Can we drink while walking there and back? TIA.

I came down to the game last year and had a great time! All you folks liked my red fox coonskin-style, fur hat. Hopefully everyone coming to Morgantown has as good a time as we did.

I'd use a plastic cup.

If we are tailgating with the RVs, do they care if we are drinking bottle beer, or should we stick with cans or plastic cups?

I've never heard of anyone having problems with bottles. I'm 99.9% sure you should be safe.

No open container laws at tailgates. In the parking lot near a Sheetz gas station and directly in front of a Subway, those boys' tailgate has about a 10 foot row of brown liquors; bourbon, scotch, whiskey, setting on the parking lot wall. They're there every year. They're on Chesnut Ridge Rd. near the stadium.

I would say more than likely the majority of the LSU tailgaiting will happen in the Coliseum lot. That lot opens at 8:00am on Friday morning and is $80. The shuttle to the stadium from there is $4 round trip and runs 3 hours prior to kick off I believe.

It's hard out here for a tailgater...

This thread makes me wish I had plans for going out there. I've never been to a non-SEC away game.

Actually Nola I should have been more specific in my post. The $80 pass in the Coliseum lot is for RV's. Any other vehicles park for free at the Coliseum.

Rutiger for you I might recommend the Mountain State Brewing Company which is located on Clay Street in the Wharf District. They have a patio that overlooks the Monongahela River. They make some killer flatbreads that are baked in a wood fired oven. They have four hand crafted beers and you can order a sampler. They are:

Cold Trail Ale - An easy-drinking American Blonde beer, the grist bill includes a healthy dose of oats and wheat. Light in body, this beer is the perfect finish to any day's activity. Unfiltered.

Almost Heaven Amber Ale - Nut brown in color and lightly hopped with Willamette, this beer is dominated by a pleasing caramel finish that is darn close to heavenly.

Seneca Indian Pale Ale - A highly hopped, moderate bodied beer which comes in at 5.2% ABV. The hops schedule includes healthy doses of Chinook, Cascade, and Amarillo, and is tuned perfectly to provide the hops bitterness explosion that IPA fans seek without a lingering bitter aftertaste.

Miner’s Daughter Oatmeal Stout - Coal Black and creamy smooth, this beer holds a light tan head and is surprisingly light in body - so it won’t fill you up.

Definitely something to check out on Friday night for dinner.

Can’t wait… I’m hoping we can leave Thursday evening. This thread has me wishing we had more time on the front end.

Thanks. There are some beautiful buildings. The only problem is that our campus is on the side of a hill (as is the rest of the city) and a lot of other campus building were built in the 70s so they're ugly as hell. We expanded a lot in that decade unfortunately. Bad architecture
