This is a tough one for me. I'm not sure if the PRT runs all day or not on Saturdays. In that case I would probably park at the Coliseum, then use the PRT to go downtown and it could bring you back to the Coliseum to ride the shuttle or straight to the stadium.

I will let someone answer this better than me.

What's the best way to get to Morgantown from Fairfax, VA? Mapquest is telling me to take 68, but there are other routes. Is that my best bet? TIA

What is the best bar area to go to Friday night. Maybe with a live rock type band, or any band for that matter. We're in coliseum parking area.

Is there a particular friday night area that the opposing teams tends to hang out at bar wise? Is there a bar that is commonly known as the opposing teams fan bar per se?

68 is your best bet if you're looking to get here quickly. If you've got some time to kill, you could head to Strasburg, then take 55/48 west down through Elkins and whatever scenic area you want to hit down there

Thanks so much! We are getting packed and ready for some good tailgating and good football! We are going to get out super early to try and get a spot in the Green lot for tailgating. Do you think this will be possible on gameday?
If anyone else is interested in tailgating w/ us, we're coming from Charlotte, NC shoot me an e-mail at jkatheta@yahoo.com

Friday night if you want to take in some Morgantown night life your best bet would be High Street, but you're looking at more hip hop music than rock. If you want something more laid back then definitely check out Keglers, Crocketts, or Mario's Fish Bowl.

wvubrandon & other wvu guides: Thanks for all the helpful information! You are quite the hosts!

While you have posted a lot of info about parking, transportation, and tailgating, I still need a little help with the logistics of getting to and from. We are staying at the Comfort Inn near GraftonRd/I-68. We want to spend the day in Morgantown, then go over to the stadium closer to game time. What's the best way to transport: Park at Mountaineer Mall and take a shuttle into the city, then use PRT to get to campus? Will there be huge lines to use the PRT before and after game time? Or are we better off just parking in town, and take a shuttle to the game?

Thanks.

In that case you would want to park at the Coliseum, then walk and get onto the PRT at the Engineering station and ride it downtown to the Beechurst station. You can then ride it back to the Engineering station or ride it to the Health Sciences Center station to walk to the stadium.

Here's a map: LINK

Yes, but you're still going to have to walk a little bit and you wouldn't be riding the PRT very far, just from the Engineering station to the Health Sciences station. If you're gonna ride it at least make the whole loop!

Pepperoni rolls can be found at almost any grocery store or gas station in West Virginia. If you want a really good one try Colasessano's off of the Pierpont Exit on I-68.

From the Coliseum lot to your seat would be around 1.5 miles.

is this a decent walk (i.e. sidewalks, etc), or should I try to park on one of the closer lots?....

Anybody have recommendations for a good breakfast/brunch place downtown on Saturday? It can be low or high class...as long as it's good

I think we'll be taking the PRT downtown around 9am. Plan is to get grub/bloody marys and head over to Gameday on campus around 11 to see the spectacle

Sidewalks all the way. I made this map for something else, but it applies here. The Coliseum is in blue and your walk would be the red line to the Blue Lot by the stadium.
