Attendance is down to any such event. Mississippi state / LSU game had about the same percentage full last week and they had no Covid rules whatsoever. Regardless of ones political leanings, no one wants to catch that bullshite.

While I agree with you 1000% that it would be down regardless, 11am games are not known to be the biggest sellers down south in normal seasons.

I hated those damn Jefferson Pilot start times.

Guess you haven’t seen penn st, ND, OSU, or almost any other stadium on saturdays when they are shown. Guess it’s only the south that’s afraid of Covid

You haven't been paying attention if you think that. Big time programs all over the country are packing the house out.

For the most part people really don't give a shite about covid anymore

That’s BS. The stadium has been at least 70% full at kickoff the last couple games.

McNeese was close. CMU was not.

I went on LSU ticket site on Tuesday and yes there were plenty of tickets available and not just singles.

2,3,4,6 tickets together all over the stadium and I only looked in the lower bowl.

Now that there is a chance of rain on top of 8pm start, on top of Covid restrictions and wokeness, on top of LSU not being very good, I’d say it will be a lite crowd for an SEC game day.

The excitement around the program feels like 2015. Time for a change

The fan base is soft. Look at this board. They find any reason they can to not go to games other than 2019. Kickoff is too early, it’s too late, too hot, to cold, might sprinkle. Now they have something new to point at.

Yeah it's because we lost to UCLA first game of the season. The COVID shite wouldn't matter if this team was undefeated.

My guess was 85k

Lower bowl seats are 250 for the West and 165 for the east. Upper deck is over 100. That is the real reason they are still available. A family of 4 would spend 1k to sit in West or almost 700 for East lowers..not many can justify that.

tickets like these were never ever readily available, regardless of price markup, from LSU’s ticket site since 2003. There were simply no lower bowl tickets available from LSU for big conference games and you have to resort to stubhub and secondary market. Why are they available this year probably is a combo of COVID restrictions and apathy because the team is not very good. Lea Miles had a couple years where his team wasn’t good but tickets were still not available from LSU.

Right... and have the nerve to speculate/b*tch about players opting out.

People that complain about the COVID restrictions really don’t want to be at the stadium or were never going to be there anyway. After a couple of home games now it is clear that you can get in even if you aren’t vaccinated. The pre-check teams roaming the tailgates hardly even look at the image on your phone when they give you a wristband. Also some fans were just pocketing the wristbands and showing different checkers their vac card pic so they would have extra bands for the unvaccinated.

Finally at the gate they really don’t check that hard so my point is anyone can get in. This “system” is so easy to beat.

Yep. We have young kids and are out of state. Thought about driving in for the littlest first home game. Tix prices are just high. By the time you price the weekend out it’s sort of absurd.

Why didn't you just tell us you didn't go to the first 2 games. I went to Central Michigan and I would there was 50-55 thousand in the seats. Both upper decks just had a few hundred in each.

If you don’t think the BS Covid restrictions aren’t impacting attendance, you are truly clueless or choosing to ignore the obvious. The Draconian measures that seem almost singularly focused on Tiger Stadium amongst all other venues in the country, ABSOLUTELY have an effect.

You can get 4 in the South end zone for $50 each before fees.

Really? Compare how many people claim the Vax mandate is the reason they aren't going to how many people give another reason.

Then why do they have the mandates at all? This is complete bull shite. I bet you the Auburn game will be even more lenient out of desperation. Just get rid of the shite if you’re not gonna do it properly! You’re costing attendance!

It's almost impossible to be more lenient than they have been. Any person that is using that as an excuse just doesn't want to go to the game.
