I dont believe any of this.

Breaking news:
Pain HURTs.
It hurts because it’s an abnormality in the body that causes the brain to react in a way that affects decision making and motion.
But if someone calls it an injury, what is the basis for taking issue with that?
Edited:

Yall can downvote away, but these cysts cause pain. He was not INJURED. There was no INJURY. He has cysts, which cause pain.
Trauma can cause cysts. Football players experience physical trauma. When that trauma causes the body to have an adverse response that impacts motion and focus, we call that an injury.
Or trauma causes cysts. A trauma caused cyst is an injury.
If this is wrong, explain where I have gone off the rails with this common sense explanation.

This isnt "The Program.' Its real life. Some of you guys view of what goes on behind closed doors is so ridiculous. The professional Athletic Trainers and Physicians don't ignore or bury injuries so the team can win. Good god

I'll never forget 2024 when Nuss was sacked and taken out for a play, holding his shoulder like he was just shot. The very next Nuss offensive drive, he runs for 12 yards and does a full on LEAP to get a first down, landing on the shoulder with his full weight that he just "injured" and got up with 0 reaction.
Probably a grade 1 stinger. Very common in the neck/shoulder in contact sports. Some resolve in a few minutes; some in a day or two.

That cyst needs to be documented and a statue made of it outside of the LSU football stadium in honor of the incredible changes in the football program and the entire athletics department because of that beautiful little bastard.

so you think the trainers and team physicians that LSU employs just missed it when someone else was able to find it?

Maybe brad davis, but the offense can only go as far as the qb will take them. Coachs never nuss was Hurt and took away the short passes.

So Ruffino was right. He wasnt injured and its just a pain tolerance thing.
Crazy how this board crucified anyone who said he wasnt injured.
You can't be this dumb.

Just shows how location is everything. I have a kidney cyst and I don't even notice that it's there.

Perhaps, but if it was not yet properly diagnosed, no one knew it was just pain tolerance and not at risk of further injury. If I had undiagnosed pain in my spine. I'd think twice about playing QB behind our offensive line last year.

his camp
Too much of this shite going around college athletics.
Eta: it did seem clear that at some point during the season he was not effective and couldn’t throw the ball. Regardless of whatever “his camp” said, he should’ve been sat down. I feel bad for the kid and hope that the medical staff had all the correct info and advised him as best they could with the info in hand. Because if they didn’t, then we need to reevaluate the medical staff.
I find it dubious that they would’ve known this could’ve been handled with a minimally invasive procedure that would’ve taken a couple weeks to get over and they didn't advise him to have the procedure.
Eta2: and if it was presenting as an oblique injury, maybe the medical staff didn’t know to look at his spine? When I hear the word oblique I don’t immediately think spinal injury.

Why would a top notch medical staff bury it when a 2 week recovery is all that was needed?
It wouldn’t be the medical staff that buried it. I think it’s a potentially huge issue for a player and his head coach to share the same agent.
Ding, ding, ding.
High draft pick money, possible Heisman, possible NC.
A lot of risk incentive.

Someone will have to show me the proof bc this feels like a pre draft stretch. Oh we found out I sucked bc of a cyst. Its fine though I think

You don't have to be a brain surgeon to figure it out

the proof is in how he looked at the senior bowl. he was a much different thrower than 30 days prior. but we get it, you're a retard. good deal.

So once again, was it an injury? NO. It was a pain tolerance issue that Nuss couldn't stand.
Not a MD and not knowing what type of cyst or location Nuss has, my understanding is an overwhelming majority of spinal cysts are non operative. Drain and they come back. These are usually incidental findings that are asymptomatic. There’s a doc in Dallas that has built a practice around treating spinal cysts.
These cysts are usually blamed for a host of issues and are usually not the culprit.
Poor decisions, bad throws, first drive time outs, miraculous healing after previous play’s injury, etc., are not cyst related.

Doesn't look good for the LSU doctors diagnosing this and Greg Brooks
