Its great that Joe Burrow is getting so much support from his new team and fans from his OSU days.
I think its important that he doesn't have undue pressure heaped upon him like this first game is a playoff championship game.
I can guarantee his performance won't be perfect and he should be given a little latitude even when a 3rd down isn't successful.
Ultimately it will take the whole team for the Tigers to succeed.
Best of luck...Buckeye fan.

If he doesn't win the Heisman and CFP he's losing his scholarship, sorry!

Don’t worry. Expectations may be high but our QB bar is low.

Handling pressure is one the most important trait of a great QB. If he can't handle pressure, he's at the wrong school, playing the wrong position and pursuing the wrong dream of going to the NFL.

Good thing everyone here is always very rational and supportive of our players even when they are sucking.

Why do fans of a higher ranked team think they know more about football than fans of a lower ranked team?

Lol, and you question where all the quarterbacks have been the last few years.

The reference was to winning the Heisman, Tom Brady comparison, amoung numerous other things not his ability to make decisions on the field.

It’s not like he has big shoes to fill. He doesn’t have to come in and be Drew Brees for us to be impressed.

I realize that. The QB is the leader, so all of the expectations are going to weigh on him more than other players. The pressure to win is only going to mount up more and more at LSU as well as for making to the NFL. Handling pressure is part of playing QB.

The bar may be low but there are a lot of people on here that have unrealistic expectation. Hell I even read a post where a guy had Burrow as his dark horse candidate for the Heisman. It's going to take a while for Burrow and the WRs to get their timing down, game speed is a lot different than practice.
