As fans, yes. We always want to throw away the now and plan for the then.

The coaches are coaching for the now. If they are starting etling now, it's because they are doing what they feel will get them wins now. They're not thinking 3-9 like 95% of the fan base was last week. They're coaching to win the next game. And in the process Brennan has gotten some work in.

And some of our retarded fans want the QB benched.

He completed one pass of more than ten yards yesterday and it was a jumpball that would have been intercepted if not for Chark making an incredible play.

It's pretty clear that Canada has absolutely no faith in Etling's ability to push the ball down the field.

He's tough; no doubt. And I don't question his will to win. He is simply not a good QB.

The offensive line was fine yesterday. Etling was the issue. He was scared to attempt any passes over the middle in that 2nd half and if his 1st read wasnt there he had happy feet. He was really bad yesterday.

refs getting the pick call wrong where Chark took the ball away from the DB with his butt on the ground,

Wait, what?

Take off your purple glasses and go rewatch it closely. Note the part where the ball is clearly in the dbs arm and his forearm is around it while he is on the ground only to have Chark take it away.
I’m glad he did and it was a savvy move by a veteran receiver, but the refs blew that call and couldn’t overturn it on replay because of it being a judgement type situation ie wasn’t “confirmed”.
Come on man. Those refs stunk including shot they did us.
You literally read that whole post and only picked up on that? I did say it’s and buts after that line.

Jump ball goes to the receiver. Always has...for decades.

he last thing we need is to put a true frosh back there and have the same happen to him, with this offensive line.

disagree with this completely. We need a QB that can take us to the next level back there even if it means development on the fly. I’d rather lose close and develop for next season than watch this crap again.
McMillian can run, put him in.

it isn’t a jump ball when a player has it on the ground clearly then another takes is away.

You were mostly spot on, but got a little too carried away here...

ROHAN = TOUGH, see 2000 Tennessee game, hobbling on one good leg with 300-lb DT hanging on him and still wrist-flicking darts downfield.

Jamarcus was tough. And I watched Mett scrape himself off the turf a few times as well.

Back your film up so you can see the jump ball in the air...with four hands on it. Then, reread my post and apply the rule. That's the call, more times than not.

WTF are you crying about? You lose a bet on the game?

Maybe that will shut up the reasonably rantarded ones.

Also, Brennan threw a pair of picks against Troy and one could argue that's why we lost. The rantards dont want to talk about that.

If you're thinking about when D-Will released out of the slot all alone, then NO.

Gage scored on the sweep to the left side on that series.

His O line, or lack thereof, is a hell of a hurdle to clear.

Man you aren't kidding. He's gotta have a hard time getting comfortable in the pocket. I think until the O-line gets better they need to leave him in the shotgun to give him time to scan the receivers, maybe even designed roll-outs.

you remind me of old miles pumpers who just look up stats but dont watch games or understand performances. those stats don't tell you he is not very accurate and struggles reading defenses.

Which isn't what happened

The only mistake on that play was Chark not adjusting to the ball. He had his hands on the ball long before either hit the ground. The call was correct. Chark earned it.

Three times in the second half, Etling took off after two seconds with a good pocket around him. Our OL has issues but they aren't the reason for Etling's play. He is what he is - a one read QB.

Look in the mirror.
Its time to be happy, enjoy the victory. Don't bitch about the bitchers. Save your wrath for Auburn.
Hopefully next weekend will be even happier.

Etling is not as bad as most here are making him out to be. He did play like shite yesterday, he looked horrible. He’s the starter but he’s got to hit the wide open receiver.

Etling is laying it all out there on the field. Last drive he pulled in the offense and like a leader, told them we are going to run the clock out and win the game. And then LSU did it.
