ITS TIME TO BUILD A BRIDGE AND GET OVER IT
He was let go to take the heat off the football program which was the right decision considering the money football brings in
And way wade is long gone and he’s not coming back

Yeah, we should get over it, so why not make a new thread saying that. Good call.

Not until the Athletic Department starts making an effort to restore the program it destroyed. Until then, it should be a ton of attention because the arrogance and ignorance of this administration destroyed a program that was thriving.

I think the Wade sentiment has reached Bo Rein level lore with all of the national championships we'd have won if Wade was still here and if Rein hadn't been killed

Bridge, Wade deserves a statue outside the PMAC

Or it saved a football program that is the KEY to everything else. You just can't lay this at the feet of the administration when:
He paid a players GF out of his own account
He lied to his employer about it and then lawyered up
The powers that be were going to force LSU to fire him or suffer the consequence
Easy for you to comment when you aren't responsible for a multi million dollar athletic dept that is under investigation.
It sucked but it is what it is. Would love to have him back but this constant obsession with Wade is delusional.

This. MBB Ranters have caused me to frequent tRant less. The obsession is unhealthy.

"to" many?
c'mon bro. you can call out the rant and make a to/too/two error. That invalidates your argument.

this place is pretty toxic, you see posts from people that, on other boards, are somewhat sensible and rational, but once they enter these doors they completely lose it

And you've bought the narrative, hook, line and sinker....
No, this did not "save" football. This "trial" of the allegations was done through the IARP (which is independent from the NCAA) and not the NCAA Committee on Infractions (which is internal and controlled by the NCAA). The IARP had no record of holding one sport responsible for violations from the other sport. In fact, when you actually look at the NOA and analyze what the NCAA could and could not prove before the IARP, it was clear from Day 1 that the IARP was never going to hit basketball with severe sanctions because nearly all of the major allegations against Wade were not supported by information/evidence that could be used by the IARP. Most of it was dependent upon unidentified third-parties cooperating with the IARP, and NCAA had no way to make those individuals cooperate. And guess what, they didn't cooperate and the really bad sounding allegations in the NOA were never proven. Do yourself a favor and actually read the report someday. It's good to go directly to the source instead of just relying on "reports."
Again, if this were handled by the Committee on Infractions internally at the NCAA that observation may be accurate, but this was handled by an outside arbitration group.
So this whole narrative about saving football is exactly what the Athletic Department wants you to believe. The reality is Woodward and Tate did not like Wade, and were looking for the first chance to get rid of him without a buyout. They were arrogant enough to think they could replace him. I heard it over and over again from people from the Athletic Department. Wade was only 9-9 in his last season, Woody will go out and get someone just as good or better. That arrogance led to a massive mistake and the program is now in a tailspin, and the pilot has decided to accelerate the throttle instead of ejecting.
Had Wade stayed the penalties would have been the exact same as the were against football and basketball. Wade would have sat out 10 games last year.
