Was there as a Senior at LSU. What a night after losing 2 heartbreakers to Archie Manning in the years before!!
The stadium rocked with passion rarely matched since!

My high school team mate, Craig Burns, had a nice punt return.

Well, I won't be one of them to tell you I was there. I was age 10. My family invited the neighbors over for a football party. I swear, our living room was like the student section. It was a great diversion from the daily bad news coming from Saigon or the campus riots in most cities. What a tumultuous time.

Terry Bradshaw’s senior year at Woodlawn. It was the 1965 football season. I believe Sulphur was the home team.

Earliest memory of an LSU game at eight. Watching it at Paw Paws. Casanova was my hero……

What a great memory! I was 13 years old. Dad invited a priest friend of the family over. I sat on the floor in front of the tv. My dad and the priest on the sofa behind me.
They had a few bourbons and we all got cranked up as the Tigers poured it on in every phase of the game. The priest was grinding his fist into the sofa “crush ‘em! Grind ‘em! Mash ‘em!” Many variations on that theme.
We had a great night.
All those names bring back great memories, but Estay was my favorite. I have a b/w photo of him tackling Pat Sullivan in our den.

LSU introduced Lane Kiffen as their head football coach and crushed Ole Miss’s dream of becoming a powerhouse football program.

Oh, man. I blocked that game out of my memory. December 17, 1965. Almost 60 years ago. Rainy, cold night--I was there in State Fair Stadium. Woodlawn's breakout season-- we finally beat Byrd, the Darth Vader of Shreveport football, that year, and beat 'em to a pulp! 20-0 in the first quarter! Bradshaw was my neighbor, just one block over. We all admired him for his football skill, but he wasn't intellectually inclined, to put it politely.

Yea Sulphur was the designated home team for both the 1965 and 1968 games.

I was at my grandparents house listening to the game on the radio Saturday night. What a memory!

That was my freshman year at LSU and I was of course at the game. I remember seeing the cast on Archie’s arm, it went from his wrist to his shoulder (as I remember) bent at the elbow.
I don’t think that would be allowed today,

My dad took me to that game. Later in life I took my dad to any game he was able to make. Memories.
