I'm not complaining, but when do we expect the first day game to be?

Wow, bitch every year about No night games in Tiger Stadium. Now we get what we want and you ask about day games. Good Lord.

You won't know until 2 weeks before the game when TV times are announced. Nobody wants a day game anytime before November anyways.

I'm probably one of the only people who doesn't mind day games. I like both night and day games, but with day games you can enjoy your Saturday evening. Also, I feel like LSU has done well in the 2:30 CBS slot for a while. But I won't complain about night starts either.

Most likely LSU v Tennessee will get picked up for the CBS game. Assuming Tennessee beats Florida.

frick day games. Can't see the projector during the day and I hate of reminding myself I'm night a raging alcoholic when I'm black out drunk at 3pm.

CBS has two slots that day. Could be day or night.
I personally think they will grab Bama/A & M for the day game.

That weekend is the CBS double-header. If 8&4 loses one or two before that weekend we may end up in the prime time CBS slot that night.
Here’s to hoping the aggies choke more than dick the next two weeks

Just wanted to remind people of why we play at night. It is hot as Hatties here until just before November.
Until late fall: night games. But once nights are cold cold, day games can be great.

Florida game last year was an 11AM kickoff mid October and I can honestly say even considering the season we had (and were already having at 3-3) it was one of the best Tiger Stadium experiences I’ve had in many years.
Night games are still superior but not all day games are bad.

Which spot has more viewers for CBS? Saturday afternoon or Saturday night?

I was in Arizona for that. Wake up at 9am and eat eggs and bacon with a Bloody Mary while the Tigers kick off. It was weird, but I didn’t mind it.
I like the 2:30 slot for the November games and the 5-6pm ESPN slot is great as well.
Obviously the night games are awesome, but the 7-8pm kickoffs that take 3.5 hours can be a drag.

That 5 o clock start was brutal for the East side of the stadium this past week

Seems to me the guy wasn’t complaining just asking a question. Maybe for future weekend plans. Sheesh.

Tennessee plays Bama the week after its game with LSU.
CBS will want that game, and it will not want to feature Tennessee two weeks in a row.
Could that mean that ESPN gets the LSU/Tenn game for its 6 pm slot?

Not many agree with you. It all boils down to which game CBS thinks draws the most interest from the casual fan. That will be the night game. And that is A&M vs Alabama due to offseason storyline. Now if A&M completely craps the bed between now and then, maybe you are right.
Assuming best case for all teams, 4-1 A&M vs 5-0 Alabama will be the bigger draw than 4-1 LSU vs 4-0 Tennessee
I also think that 3-2 A&M vs 5-0 Alabama also gets the nod in that situation.
If A&M is 2-3 and LSU Tennessee is 4-1 vs 4-0 then I could see it.

ESPN will not have a 6:00 pm game, because of the prime time cbs game.
Bama/A&M will be in prime time no matter what A&M does in the next few weeks.
Expect LSU/Tennessee to be the 2:30 cbs game.
