The play was a good play call, had Boutte in motion gets his man rubbed/picked and runs wide open. Daniels looks his way just briefly but doesn't throw. Instead he immediately looks down and sees rushers coming from his right and runs up the middle for a TD.

I'm not complaining about the TD but I can see why Boutte may get frustrated, play called for him and run to perfection except for our QB actually throwing it when he should have.

Couldve been an easy toss towards the corner of the endzone. Defender was beat by a step and half after the rub

After watching Saturday it's easy to see why some of the wide receivers would get upset. Jayden needs to do a better job of seeing the field and needs to be more accurate with his passes. Hopefully these things are emphasized in practice and he can improve on them.

Instead it was a relatively easy run. Six of one, half dozen of the other. Just score, baby.

Exactly. Got Daniels-hating mouth breathers on this board posting on every play, “DERP!! All four a dem receivers wuz wide open!”, which is bullshite.

Suck it up, buttercup. We have a running quarterback and if he scores or gets first downs with his feet and we win, that’s fricking A-OK with me.

We scored. If that makes Boutte upset because he was the primary read and didnt get the target I don't care if he gets frustrated

runs wide open.

Daniels throws that ball, it’s a 99 yard pick 6.

It was a clear as day OPI and would have been called had he thrown it late.

Lol. You’ve even got idiots here bitching and moaning because JD has no interceptions.

“Derp! A quarterback’s not doing his job if he don’t have 5-10 interceptions!”

Lol

And when he throws an interception, they’ll be the first ones sky screaming.

By the time Boutte had come open Daniels had already taken off. Yes he was open but Daniels was committed to the run at that point.

We scored a TD, so don't think it's really a big deal to talk about. Could he have thrown it to Boutte for an easy TD? Sure, but he also could have missed it, gotten sacked waiting for that to open up to to throw it, etc...

Instead he just ran it in for a TD which is best case scenario.

Goddamn... If he throws it and the DB breaks on the ball underneath for 99 yd Pick 6, you would be crying about that too.

As soon as he starts throwing some picks the same people will say “he can’t be trusted with the ball!”

It was a pick play. Boutte was wide open. If Daniels lofts the ball to the red circle, it's an easy TD. The outside defender was engaged with Nabers and the inside defender had to run through the screen. 100% the coaches are telling Daniels he needs to make that throw in film session this week.

I'm really not sure why he didn't throw it. He really struggles anticipating a guy being open and this is a perfect example of that. He's looking at the play and it's setup exactly how it's supposed to be, but he hesitates.

Tell me you do not understand football angles without telling me you do not understand football angles.

Also thanks for posting the pic showing the guy on him.

Witty response.

How exactly was the inside defender getting through Nabers pick before Boutte got to the ball? Hint, he wasn't and the very next second proves this.

I'm a big fan of Daniels, but this was the wrong decision.

It doesn't matter, obviously. But to suggest Boutte wasn't open on that play is wrong.

The only ingredient missing from a Grade A shite show is a loss. We won, so a lot can be swallowed, but lose one like that and the receivers are going to start bitching.

Just ignore the 5-yard-wide hole right up the middle that doesn't require the ball to move through the air.

Also, you guys are acting like he easily walked into the end zone. He got hit at the 3. It was a great athletic play by him to score, but he took 2 hits that could have been avoided, including the personal foul after he scored.
