Don't expect any logic from Roger. Everything is good because we scored a lot of points,

I'm pretty happy. A back with a burst will help our RZ offense next year.

That game was a thin slice of CSE's best and worst tendencies. Some of those drives and plays were great, others were awful and made me want to put my head through a wall.

I’m still not a fan of the play calling..but love Burrow and our Receivers. We had an awful lot of runs stuffed for no gain or negative. I like when he goes hurry up on 3rd or 4th and short...you either catch them not ready or they burn a TO.

UCF has a pretty bad defense between the 20s...so not too unexpected to have success.

Sure but I think We just generally need more creativity or an OL consistently better than our opponents.

Like when E says we didn’t have the TE and FBs we needed in the redzone, it feels like we’re never gonna do anything but pound the ball.

In the fiesta we would spread it out drive the field and run up the middle three times inside the 10.

Hey, congratulations on that call to replace Giles as PR man, you nailed that one.

I wouldn't be surprised that you may have faced a better RB than Brosette. Brosette is an above average RB, but nothing elite, and our offense was not our strength this year. Our offense is not even top 25, but our defense is top 5 in the country, when we have our players. The defense UCF played was lucky to be top 25, primarily because of our secondary. We were literally playing WRs at CB, and we had a reserve olinemen ready to play dline, because we were missing 4 dlinemen, although 1 of them got hurt early in the year. If UCF had faced the defense that we had during the regular season, the result would've been far worse for UCF, even if you had Milton.

was Jefferson worse? If Giles just slipped while muffing punts I’d understand but he generally was just bad at catching anything

I don’t see bencoleman in this thread, so way to upvote yourself

Why is it bad? Seems pretty average to me. Here is the average for teams this year according to the NCAA website (avg yrds/ avg pts):

1 Oklahoma 643 49.5
2 Alabama 623 47.9
3 Utah St. 618 47.5
4 Houston 557 46.4
5 Clemson 590 45.4
6 UCF 530 44.2
7 Memphis 567 43.6
8 Ohio St. 565 43.5
9 West Virginia 465 42.3
10 Toledo 493 41.1
11 Syracuse 489 40.8
12 Ohio 13 521 40.1

40 pts and 555 yds is right there.

Memphis scored more and had about equal yards. The best RB we faced by a mile played for them. Congrats though.

UCF is known for giving up a ton of yards. They gave up an average of 433 yards per game (including the bowl). They had 7 games giving up over 447 yards including giving up 670 tp Temple. 555 against a quality team would be impressive, against UCF its meh at best.

Basically like how we dominated Texas Tech in the bowl game? Don’t take too much from it?

Glad we manhandled them in the trenches, but this always the case against equal or better defensive talent.

Not complaining about the performance, but I would prefer better red zone offense.. and I wouldn’t put too much stock into against UCF’s defense.

UCF had 8 less points on 250 yards.... so no, I’m not entertained with FG’s.

10 of which weren't produced by their offense.

When watching our OLine I still wonder if we could be more dominant. Find Charles and Deculus standing around downfield after initial assignment. The great olines have guys with “bury” someone attitude. Is our focus on E better directed at Cregg? Would a dominant line give E better options, like they showed yesterday. Clean pocket.

There's a reason JJ doesnt return punts ahead of Giles, I'll let you figure it out.

Defend Giles all you want. Defending mediocre performance is a hallmark of yours.

Aside from a play where he slipped on the field (an issue outher players had)

He was at least as good.

But don’t get all smug about like Giles was anything but a shitty punt returner.
