There are comparing a freak play to a season of just being terrible.
Giles muffing the punt wasn’t a freak play, it was just inevitable the way he had been plying back there.
Misjudging balls, bobbling receptions, and when he caught a ball, he just wasn’t fast.
If he muffed vs A&M while sliding to the ground I’d cut him some slack, but that’s not what happened.

A false start at the 1 and fumble at the 2 aren’t exactly his fault. I would’ve liked to see us punch it in too, but I’m not going to blame him for those two. Score there and we have 48, is that better?

vs Alabama - 196 yards, 5/16 on 3rd downs, 12 yards rushing, 0 points.
vs Mississippi State - 239 yards, 7/18 on 3rd downs, 19 points (7 of which came on a 2 yard drive thanks to the defense).
Georgia was the lone exception, although after last night, I'm not sure that win was as good as we thought.
