People noticed him making open field tackles in the backfield, but he also covered the slot guy a good bit last game & I don’t remember him giving up a catch

He's been great! Thanks for not bashing our players. I look forward for Stevens to have a great season next year.

He’s a hybrid S/OLB. Best suited to play around the LOS.

Yeah I think he should be able yo cover tight ends also.
Almost like a nickel but blitz him more and play him in coverage less.
He is a beast coming forward and will get better in coverage the more snaps he gets.
The middle of the year he didn't play that much

He actually played really well in coverage vs the TXA&M tight end, who is nfl level talent (according to game announcers)

I'm guessing he'll be used as a hybrid LB/S maybe a little like when Jabrill Peppers was at Michigan.

He could start at safety with Delpit as a preview of the 2019 DB's - Stingley, Fulton, Delpit, Stevens. That is if Battle is disciplined for TAMUFiasco. If not, nickle and hybrid LB.

To big and not quite good enough in coverage for a regular safety. Not big enough for a regular lb. He is perfect for a hybrid role like a 'jack'? or rover lb or a safety that plays near the line of scrimage. He has been looking good and glad they are finding a role for him

He was arguably our best player on defense vs A&M

This!!! I think he's the perfect Field OLB but needs to put on like 20 or 30 more pounds and he's gonna be a beast out there. Add who's coming in next year and this LB core is going to be special.

Now it's time to get Aranda and Orgeron out there throughout the country looking for DLman. I'm serious about this. They need to make OL, DL and QB a priority and treat it as special positions and recruit those positions uniquely. They seem to have a handle on the rest so change what we are doing at those specific positions and it will pay off for the program.

If more money is needed to recruit those positions then do that. It will pay off in the end. Send the house out there looking for OTs, Rush LBers, DEs, DTs and NTs. Go look for some Basketball players and TEs who are tough and can play that rush end spot or DE or both. Go look for DLman and OLman who you see can switch positions. Use more creativity and that's why I would get Aranda closely involved. He's becoming more and more of a recruiting tool for LSU. He's landed just about every LB he's wanted so far.

Let him go recruit some DLman and rush ends also. Send everyone out there looking for true OTs and QBs that fit what we need here even if they aren't so highly recruited. Go to camps, go to practices put yourself out there and get the players we need to become elite. It's a matter of simply spending the extra time and money.

He is a safety. Reminds me of Kareem Jackson with the Texans. Can’t cover great, but damn strong at tackling and playing ear the line. He needs to up his cover skills - which he has time to do.

We have been calling for the Texans to either release Jackson or move him to safety. This year he has excelled at safety, but his cover skills are still pretty bad.

I think you continue to keep him in the hybrid role he's in between S and OLB.

Hes 6'2 and 225

He should be an OLB that can cover TEs and stay on the field all the time.
