Schloss has turned down some big time opportunities. He will be a lifer at TCU...he’s going nowhere. And his pitching coach seems to be happy as a pitching coach..also turning down some big offers. He definitely doesn’t need the money.

Tadlock would be a HR. What he has done and done consistently at Texas Tech has been remarkable.

The problem...he's a Red Raider Alum.

He can’t give him warmer weather, a built in recruiting base, and the best game atmosphere in the nation

I got downvoted before about this, but I like Mercer at Indiana. I like the energy and the recruiting he does. I think he would do awesome down here depending on his ability to lock up the top talent in the area as well as outside LA.

Mercer is emotionally tied to Indiana. He had family coach there or something, grew up around the program. He was the first person there to extend the olive branch to Bob Knight and the first person to get him back on campus.

Not saying he wouldn’t leave, but i really think he likes being there. He’s a good coach though.

This is LSU, you don’t go out and hire up and coming coaches. You hire coaches that know how to win championships

39 years ago today we hired an up and comer assistant from Miami by the name of Stanley (Skip) Bertman.

Nick Saban, Les Miles, nor Coach O had ever won a championship as a coach before coming here. You go after who you think has the keys to success. Winning at other places doesn't equal championships somewhere else.

You must be a DHS alum, or please back up your statement if you’re going to throw someone under the bus so crudely. I know who he is, as he was 2 years behind me at HHS. But I have not followed his career at all, so I can’t speak about his strengths or shortcomings as a college baseball coach.

Really like Gautreau a lot, but no HC experience is a deal breaker for me at this point

I have no idea who LSU should replace PM with. I will say I think the next coach should have the skill set of a pitching coach, so that a real skilled hitting coach can be hired, and stop this damn training ground for graduate assistants in stead of a real experienced coach.

My list is more focused on recruiting coordinators to be honest.

Should not be on any list related to anything regarding a head coaching position at LSU
Riser and Cain should not be mentioned in the same discussion. Riser is clearly a second tier option but would be solid if it came to that.

Who do you realistically want to replace Mainieri?

Given all the current “issues“ in the athletic department, I think it’s safe to say that Cannizzaro is out of contention.
