9 SEC games would not affect that at all.

Yes it will. It adds 8 more losses to SEC teams. Some of those losses will affect rankings and therefore the playoffs.

Back to 1 bye week next year?

So tired of the BYE before Bama. Would like to treat it like just another game.

Current season Sagarin ranking in parentheses

quote:

Sep 5: Clemson (25)
Sep 12: Louisiana Tech (104)
Sep 19: at Ole Miss (10)
Sep 26: Texas A&M (8)
Oct 3: McNeese State (203)
Oct 10: at Kentucky (49)
Oct 17: Mississippi State (56)
Oct 24: at Auburn (26)
Oct 31: Bye
Nov 7: Alabama (9)
Nov 14: Texas (12)
Nov 21: at Tennessee (21)
Nov 28: at Arkansas (47)

LSU is (23)

Seven games you absolutely have to win (including Clemson and at Auburn).

The other five you have to find a way to go 3-2.

2 of the 5 toughest are in September.
October is comparatively easier.
November has the other 3 toughest.

3 of the 5 toughest are at home.

Three of Lane's ole stomping grounds: at Ole Miss, Bama & at Tennessee

Vaught & Neyland will be lively.

Bama, Texas, Tennessee in three consecutive weeks is pretty brutal.

God why are we still forcing the bye week prior to Bama??

with one bye why is that a bad thing? it has to be somewhere in that vicinity. if its too early youre missing out on a chance to get healthy before the toughest run of the year.

Absolutely sucks that LSU gets stuck with ar on the final weekend. That game generates the least amount of excitement of any SEC game on LSU’s schedule.

Not many blowout wins between LSU and Arkansas, those games are always nail-biters. I personally liked the day after Thanksgiving game; wife went shopping with my daughters and I usually got to bank on either making the trip to the game or having a nice afternoon bourbon at home.

They always play us close, so not sure what you're on about.
