Did it snow that night? I remember the day being dreary, and it took forever for the 'Dome to warm up.

Damn, has it been that long? What a night! How I did not have a heart attack still amazes me.

Pure ecstasy

I remember as the ‘99 season wound down i wondered if we’d ever get to that stage

Then 2001 happened but we flubbed the opportunity to return to Atlanta the following year at Arkansas. I had the same thoughts about if we’d ever really get to the top

Then 2003 happened

I live in Metairie AND went to that game, and I remember it being cold and rainy that night-- don't remember any snow.

My dad was there. I sat and watched on TV. That was peak sports for me pre the interent really taking off. Watched on an old Box TV in my living.

Felt lucky to sit in the dome 4 short years later to do it all over again. What a ride the 2000s kicked off for being an LSU sports fan.

Both of his knees were shot. A shame for him.

I remember Ell Roberson and Kansas St. blowing Ohio out in their conference championship 35-7. Roberson lit that Ohio defense up that night and I remember being happy about that.

And Darren Sproles. Then a few weeks later El Roberson was popped for sexual harassment and had to sit out the Fiesta Bowl where Ohio State had their way with the Wildcats.

My sister (no pics) and I (no pics) were in the nosebleed section of the Dome. We had one of the best family/girls' nights at the game as recent LSU grads (both 2001). It felt like a miracle had come true.
