LSU beat Oklahoma in the National Championship Game. Justin Vincent ripped off a huge run on the first play from scrimmage and then Marcus Spears sealed it with the pick 6. What a night!

And then we fumbled on the second play on the Oklahoma 3 yard line turning the ball over to the Sooners...

The night it snowed was the Sugar Bowl versus Illinois.

You mean Lionel Turner sealed it with the sack on 4th & 10. That pick six happened on the first drive of the 3rd Quarter and we were dead offensively in the second half.

That game should have been 31-7 instead of 21-14

Well it wasn't the second play. We converted a nice 3th down on a slant to Clayton that Mauck had to field a low snap. The first down and goal fumble was unfortunate. But Webster did get the interception two plays later which then led to SKyler kick starting the scoring on that jet sweep. Would have loved to see if we could have scored that first drive and see if a Blowout was on the horizon.

Probably should have been more than that too, we played a really bad game offensively. But credit to OU's defense because Mauck did not look like himself that game. Some of that might have been on Mauck but OU did have a good defense.

I was there, it was Glorious! I told my friends that I thought Saban was different but couldn’t understand paying a Coach 1 Million dollars. Fast forward We give one Coach 18mill to walk away and guarantee 100mill to another in 2 months time. Good Times

LSU would have blown them out if we didn’t frick up that sequence when we didn’t score in the 3rd quarter on that drive where we didn’t get that fg cause of a penalty

We got two tickets in the ticket lottery that LSU had for ticket holders. I was so beyond thrilled.

I was there. Have the pics and tickets still to prove it. I would’ve killed to go because I thought we would never do it again. Pleasantly wrong.

Well, okay, it wasn't Vincent who fumbled but was Matt Mauck. It wasn't the second play of the game but was the 4th or 5th play. And the fumble was on the 1 yard line not the 3 yard line.

Other than that, did I get everything else correct about beating Clemson that night?

We walked from the dome to Harrah's after the game and I played blackjack with my grandfather for 3 hours. One of the most memorable nights of my life.
