That’s the only thing that would scare me about the autobahn. Any mechanical failure and its auf weidersehen mein herr.

200mph—requires carbon-ceramic brakes, proper wheels, and performance tires.

Hmmm. Wonder if he read his manual

It's absolutely mindblowing IMO.

I'd love to see a stationary video of what the car did after the blowout just to see exactly what that dude survived. A blowout going that fast would be terrifying.

That's pretty insane he didn't die. Call me a pussy, but there's no way I'm going 175 mph without a helmet, hans device, 5-point harness, roll-cage, and fire suppression system. That's just too much kinetic energy to mess with for me. Humans are quite squishy.

The GPS on his display screen spinning around in circles along with his car is pretty wild. Same with the red light warning indicator on his dash.

Might as well just flash a message that says "you're about to die dumbass"

1st I watch his face in the rear view mirror, then I noticed how fast his car was moving through the GPS which was pretty crazy to see.

I was stationed in Germany for a while, and I actually much preferred the Autobahn to our interstates. Accidents didn’t seem to happen as often as they do here, but when they did, they were often spectacular, cranes brought in to extract vehicles, entire sections shut down for hours, that sort of thing.

I usually kept it to a conservative 180-200 kmh.

The dangerous part is how quickly that starts to feel normal. Then you come back to the States and your sense of speed is completely recalibrated.

I came back for a funeral in Dallas once, and my wife and I were driving on the George Bush Turnpike or whatever it’s called. I was just cruising along when the car suddenly lurched as the governor kicked in.

My wife asked, “What was that?”

I gave her the old, “Nothing, honey.”

Glad I didn’t get clocked.

Tesla's self-driving would have saved it.
